I've made a set of vouchers. I designed them on the computer and printed them off, really easy and free! They are for a variety of things - housework-free day, day trip of his chooice, massage, and then some I can't type here
.
I have also bought him a CD using some Amazon vouchers I had. So although I didn't make it, still free!
I'm hoping to have a go at the Baileys truffles that I read about here, will have to see how much time I get after all the shopping I have to do today - new washing machine, mobile phone, shoes and slippers for son ....
Well done, good luck with the shopping hun, I hate shopping for white goods and phones arrrrrrrrrrrrgggh:eek:, I have just been making Love Heart cup cakes with the kids just need to ice them now and we have some heart shaped cookies cooling and some Chocolates in the fridge, going to make some cards in a bit, will try and post some photos if DS1 will lend me his camera:D:D:D:D

My bedrooms the same lol, definitely a dumping ground. DD is on strict instructions not to go in and leave the door open when we have guests!
Picked up two little grandma keepsakes in a charity shop today was going to save them for mil for mothers day but I already have a few things for mothers day so I think i'll just let the bairn give her them today to cheer her up, her hubby is in hospital and she's run ragged at the moment. Only cost 1.50.0 -
On a different note - I'm doing the Race for Life for the first time this yearI'm really looking forward to it, anyone else doing it this year?
I am, have done it twice before. The first time I did it on my own. I cried all the way around. It's so emotional reading what people write on their signs. Last time I did it with my two sisters.
This year we are going the whole hog and doing 10K (not 5) Me, My sisters, my Neice, DD1 might join in and a friend wants to do it too.
The trouble with our venue is, you have to park in a field, and then walk about two miles to the start, walk around and then two miles back to the car, so it's double what it should be. Then you have a one and a half hour wait to get off the field as everyone leaves at the same time more or less.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Sarah - I made the girls valentines cards but had one from last year to give OH. Couldn't find it at the time and so had to buy another one. Going to make the girls love heart chocs (when they in bed).
Bought OH some posh chocs this year (www.affectionary.co.uk) £18.00 for nine chocs. They'd better be good. Last year all I bought was a Little bottle of ebay with a label that said something along the lines of- if you open it all my kisses will escape. It only cost about three quid (really hard up at the time) If I had known about this site then, I would have made it myself. :money:
He's bought me two pairs of trousers ( He wrapped them up and put them in his side of the wardrobe, even though I know what they are, had to try them on and everything. He doesn't know yet - This week I opened it, have worn the trousers, got to wash and iron them quickly while he's out and wrap them back up!!!:rotfl:)I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

But it was for a birthday not Valentine's Day. The recipient was very happy so it was worth it. The yarn was left-over from another project. I did post this earlier on the thread. Thanks so much for the challenge0 -
Hello all :j
elysia - well done on the Race for Life (I couldn't do it)
mum2one - well done to dd on passing her ballet :T
sarah - Valentines pressie was going to be re-vamped gravy tub full of 25 reasons 'why I love you' -thought OH might think it a bit naff so opted for little heart shaped candle I'd been given, wrapped it in some cello off the flowers he gets me every week, tied with ribbon from a bundle I had bought me at Christmas and there you have it..............cost me nothing :T
Coasters arrived today for my water colours and wouldn't you just know it...........I'd ordered a size too small. Still, three of them cut down to size ok -had to re-do one but it was one I wasn't happy with anyway so all is not lost. Bought pack of 5 and had only done 4 so sat and did another one............not too sure it'll do -have to get OH's opinion I think.
Still haven't done bedroom (pleading 'sickie' with my knee..........lol) and state of my letter rack and all the papers about to fall out of it I think I've got some sorting out there to do.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

For Valentines' Day I have made cards for DH, DS, DD1 and DD2 - I glued a heart shape onto the card, then on top of this I put small rolled up pieces of card so they look a bit like roses - hard to explain - will try to post a photo at some point.
Today the kids and I made heart-shaped biscuits and put pink icing on them - we did them whilst DH was out so they will be a surprise for him tomorrow. :heartsmil
Got around to tidying my bedroom up a bit the other day - and even hoovered the cobwebs off the ceiling!:o
I'm taking the kids to visit their grandparents on Thursday for a couple of days, so will need to get everything else done before then.
Don't forget it's Pancake day on Tuesday! I like mine with strawberry jam on - what about everybody else?Thrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -
