In both senses of the expression.
yes got to go and make some money so i don't overdraw
  • whoah people.... an argument over how a person handles their finances or the oppinion of doesnt count here, for alot it is a difficult battle ..for instance...I had an insurance company that felt they could set up a Direct Debit willy nilly even tho I cancelled it 3 TIMES...I communicated numerously with the implicated Insurance company through my broker...As a brilliant person with finances I had worked out my budget for the month, I sat and relaxed...then something horrible happened...I checked my account one day online and found 2 Direct Debits had been collected from my account which I may add HAD NOT been authorised either in writing or verbally...I therefore incurred charges to my account... but am pleased to say got fully reimbursed..but I have to say it is hard work proving it was not your fault.

And what if for some reason the option of 'got to go and make some money' was taken away from you? Suddenly without no warning?

I think you'd change your tune then. It would be interest if that ever did happen to see what your view on bank charges are.

The direct debit guarantee offerred by the banks state that if you say there is an error they will immediately refund you whilst it is investigated , if they don't ask for a copy of the guarantee and point out the relevant clause - all banks have these.

I trust you also asked for compensation from the instigator of the direct debit

my banking isn't free , the money in the account during the month is used by the bank to make money .

If you went into tesco and something was £20 would you expect to pay only £10 because you were poor ? , this seems to basis of your arguement , that the banks should charge less if people say they are poor

i didnt mean poor as in "no money" an as far as u r concerned banking is free at the point of call ,what the bank do with yr money is up to them u dont notice it
