Paul what a !!!!!!! waste of space you are.

This woman may not want you, so you'll hang on to your wife in case? what a waste of space and poor excuse of a man.

Well I'm not risking being homeless if that is what you mean!! I'll be leaving work soon and a few are going for a drink (including ?). Might be time to approach the subject!!

I'd do your wife a favour and move out :-)

btw I'm fat and knocking forty and you don't sound so much of a prize to me, heaven knows what a fit bird ten years younger is thinking. You must have an AMAZING personality!

  • These things are never easy!! If you are even doubting whether or not to go, DONT. Remember you will have to live with yourself afterwards, and maybe that won't be a problem at first, but think about how you will feel a few months down the road, when things are no longer quite so exciting with the young woman. Your wife stood by you when you were at rock bottom, she at least deserves a chance. For goodness sake talk to her. Give yourselves a chance to put things right.
If you don't at least try, you could risk making the biggest mistake of your life.
Just remember that the infatuation stage of any relationship only lasts a few months. What will you feel like when that has passed. She may have very different standards and life habits to you, which at first can be ignored, but eventually will have to be faced up to.
Ask yourself - don't start something if you can't deal with the consequences. There are many ways you could improve your marriage if you want to.

I haven't for one moment said that I am a prize, although many do say I have a great personality. Why are you being so negative towards me? Why is it doing my wife a favour??
  • Blimey.....

Paul - your wife stood by you when you went bankrupt and this is how you repay her?

Have you considered that if this girl WAS asking you to move in (and I'm not convinced she was) that things would be rather different for you. You've had a wife who hasn't worked and probably looked after you. I assure you woman in their twenties don't expect to go out all day to work and then do the housework or work around when you want to watch the match.

I hope you do bring this up with her and she drops you on your a*se.

I am going to come clean now. I am a troll but also a longstanding member of this forum. Personally I am married to a wonderful lady (who doesn't like knitting) and who is my rock.

Well done to those who saw through me as a Troll, but there is moral in this story which has been hi lighted by many on here and extremely well. It is so nice to read, so many people have so high morals. Okay there is a lot of temptation out there at the moment, for those struggling with relationships. But for the fellas, keep your pants on, and the ladies out there, keep your bras on. Do not be tempted to stray. Your partners deserve more and there are many who will be cheated on, only for regret to creep in afterwards.

Okay, our partners aren't perfect. Neither are we. But it is Christmas and we all deserve to be treated well.

I have never been a Troll before and can't see me being a Troll again, but if it saves at least one marriage, then it will be worth it. You don't want to be reading this next year with the ghost of Christmas past sitting on your shoulder.

    Have a Great Christmas
