A pound a day won't hurt and £365 worth of guilt free January sales shopping 2011 is enough motivation for me

Will have to brave Poundland for a tin though, suppose I should get used to shopping in there really though, I can learn to behave myself!

I am really looking forward to this, I have never been that good at saving but really feel I need to sort myself out in the new year and start saving a little.

I haven't got my tub yet but have hidden £2 in my wardrobe ready but have spent my lot already....... cruise, gold diamond watch, wardrobe full of new clothes :rotfl:

I overheard 2 women talking in the queue in the local shop about the £365 in 365 days challenge and one of them said it was a great idea on how to introduce saving to her kids although reducing the amount to 10p a day. Then the other woman said,"Well you know what they will spend the £36.50 on?"

Now I was thinking the answer would be a game for a console but the reply really surprised me "Ofcourse christmas dinner in a restaurant!"

Now everybody in the queue started laughing. It turns out it was the first time the woman had cooked the christmas meal, before she had always managed to get invited to friends or family well this time the kids got a mild case of food poisioning from her cooking.

Please can i join? Have an empty terramundi pot but i can get into it with tweezers! (needs must on occassions!) so will have to come up with an idea so i cant get at it. also like the £5.00 if the thread gets 365 members.
