I won a 99p book with genuine free postage, paid for it and it was sent without any postage paid. Somehow it got to me without me having to pay the Post Office.0

I agree that if we come across bad sellers we should leave negs and poor stars where appropriate. That is an easier way of getting them banned as even if ebay don't bother eventually even the most naive of buyers will avoid them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Must say ebay didn't pull a listing down that i reported that was listed in a free p/p catergory but then stated in the listing that £2.50 would be added to the invoice for p/p.
So obviously they weren't bothered at all, so shouldn't of wasted my time reporting it.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
the free p & p is just a farce and another way for ebay to up there revenue, another posted said the postage cost 90p so why not add 90p to the start price, but you'd have to up the start price by a £1 to cover the FVF for postage, then you would have to pay to list it as you have wouldn't start it at 99p so there is another revenue for ebay for the insertion fee, so the seller has to add even more money to the start price.
As long as the postage cost is clear from teh start it shoudlnt matter if its a penny or £10 postage, you can clearly see what the charge is going to be before bidding and you can decide wheter to continue to buy from this seller or anotherEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Or just grab yourself a bargain as of course they cannot charge postage even if they do write it in their auction terms if they list in the book section. If they refuse to send then neg them as this is sort of Darwin's theory of natural selection on an ebay model, those that cannot understand the rules will eventually get so many negs and such poor stars that they ban themselves anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. ah, you're one of those
Its does matter about postage costs, as shown by my recent experience if the seller is happy to blantantly flout ebay rules they are also just as happy to provide poor descriptions and even poorer service. Once you drop one moral the rest seem to go fairly easily. Adding it to the item description makes no difference, just like those giant red warnings about items are no longer the responsibilty of the seller once they are posted.
(and yes you are right soolin its a great chance to get some bargain books !!)Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais
