Better check the expiry date on them Rosemary - I found some in a suit pocket (they were High Street Ones about 18 months /2yrs old I think)) -the date on them meant I had to use them up quick -bought loads of energy saving lightbulbs from Wilko!
But you might find your Marks ones may be going out of date pretty soon- at least you could make that an excuse to go shopping on your OH behalf!:T
sadly still have a few months to go!

I treated myself today - but it's okay - it was all birthday money!! :)

    I bought..
Grey caridgan - £6 - this is lovely, and similar is usually at least £20 in other places, so snapped it up
A thick beige cardigan - £5 reduced from £13 - just to keep me warm on chilly nights!
    Black jeans - £10
    Light blue jeans - £10
Oh, and a new sports bra - lol.

So even though none of this counts, I still didn't spend too much - see! ;)

    Hi all,

Been bad and not checked in recently... oops.

My sister gave me a dress to eBay and it fetched £24.00 :j and she said I could keep the profits, which was nice because it only cost her £5. :D So I splashed out on a blue silk dress and a pair of brown boots, total £16.98 but really money neutral.

    I'm finding this hard now.

ETA: Oh, and I made back the £3 I spent on the cardi and dress which I didn't like, plus a bit more for profit.

  • The Next things came today, so £39 off DS's budget... thats for 3 pairs of jeans and three sets of pyjamas :)

    Hello everyone and congratulations gratefulforhelp.

Still nothing to declare here as have been a busy busy bee at work, am looking forward to treating myself to a couple of summery tops (ok its freezing here but the sun is shining!) so am quite happy to restrain myself until it warms up.

Well done everyone on the self restraint and lovely new bargains!

Bought a navy skirt - Per Una from M&S outlet £11 instead of £29.99: definitely work-only though so still 'no spend'

Resist raven, you can do it:):):)

    Hi everyone
I nearly gave in to temptation at M&S on Thursday but resisted. I could feel Lula's eyes boring into me and the thought of confessing to having spent 50% of my budget by February was too much. So still no spends for me.

Like the sound of the blue silk dress, Magpye, and I love your signature as well.
Luxor and rosemary - my OH is totally uninterested in clothes as well. He will then suddenly decide he needs some new things, go shopping and buy up nearly the whole shop :mad:, then that's him done for the next 10 years..... men are such strange creatures :D.
:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)

Have some spending to report.....had a mega day out charity shopping with my friend :o

Lovely new moleskin black Laura Ashley coat: £ 6.99 ( yes it's quite a bit of money but I am so pleased with this, it's slimming and classy :D)

    Tweed trousers : £3.99

I am kind of impressed with how this challenge is helping me, I did have an uneccesary clothes spending habit, and just knowing in the back of my mind that there is accountability here is making me stay on track!
