Can you sign me up for £150. Can't see me doing £100 and glad its not including shoes/boots. I asked my friend's hubby to be executor for my will the other day, she asked if I could leave her my shoes - it's not like I'm Imelda Marcos :rotfl:

Hey everyone,
apologies for the delay in replying & updating ... I've been very busy placing bids on ebay for bargainous dresses that will do both for now with cardies & tights/leggings ( & one of my 8 pairs of boots shhhh ) & also the summer
I was inspired by museumworkers link to the uniform dress :T. That sort of imaginative & clever use of clothes is why I dont include accessories in this challenge - they can be found so cheaply & can completely revamp a tired item.
It's great to see so many peeps wanting to try this challenge.
Hello & welcome to :

The best advice I can give to those who havent tried this before is to do an inventory of all the clothes you now have & try to create as many outfits as possible out of them.
This will refresh your memory as to what you already own & what you could really do with in order to create new outfits.
When you do finally venture into a shop & seize an item that you think you love, carry it round the shop with you for a bit & think about what it will go with you that you already have. I now aim for 3 different outfits from each item. Once you have done this & start to head for the till & then tot up how much you will have left out of your years allowance you may find that you dont want it as much as you thought you did.
I managed to save 2 years worth of clothes challenge allowance from one cashmere dress by this method :j

HI can I join please?
Am going for £100 for clothes - have got loads I just need to shrink into, so will include accessories, shoes and undies, esp nightwear (I'm a jammies fiend I fear!!!)
Also, I have a sealed tin with money in it, my dad puts £1 in it every time I lose a lb, so won't be counting that if I get to goal and deserve to open it.
Am assuming I can spend vouchers if preferred?
Will still be ebaying but will be using money earned to pay off the debt I incurred buying my aforesaid stored clothes!!!NSD November 1/20 :money:
Crap 1, Simple Be, Next, VANQUIS, TESCO, VERY, EMPIRE, ADDITIONS, HALIFAX C/C, HALIFAX LOAN, STUDENT LOAN
Make £10 a day in November £34.57/£450 :eek:0 -
Ooh I like the idea of a uniform dress! I'm not good with dresses, tried some jumper dresses on in Matalan yesterday and they looked terrible on me. Wondering if investing in a more expensive one would be better, anyone bought a fab dress recently? I love wearing winter boots (I have 9 pairs)0

Hi catchooky & welcome,
sounds like you are in the right mindset to do this challenge& I'm with you as regards shrinking into clothes already owned & paid for on CCs
I have 20lb to lose to get back into some of mine, my hips seem to have wandered off by themselves into another dimension & I need to haul them back again
Will add you to the members list right away ...0
