  • Hi all, hope everyone is ok. Just updating my list... Yes, I've actually done something off it this week! I'm posting from my phone tho and can't work out how to change the text colours so it's all boring and black I'm afraid!

    Monday Mayhem..

    S&S the kitchen
    S&S the bathroom/s and loo's
Clean the oven and hob ready for your feast!
Clean the fridge to accommodate you bounty of food
Change any bedding you need to get washed before the fat guy arrives.. and I do not mean the OH/parent/ etc
    Dust round the whole downstairs
do a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs

    Tuesday- times nearly up

Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs!
    Mop the kitchen floor!
Prepare a list for that last second shopping
Toy boxes can be banished upstairs!
Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up
Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!!
  • Oh - my OU result is finally in - Grade 2 pass, and apparently in top 19% of country. A good honours degree is within my reach - assuming I actually get off my butt and do some work!
    :T:T:T:T:T
Well done you - that's a great result.

Thanks for snow comments - yes it has been bad today.
Very glad I don't have to go to work anymore I walked down to nearest shop this afternoon. Mostly in the road - we must have had about 6/7 inches today. Still I would sooner trudge through snow than try to walk on hard snow/ice.
  • Glad I just checked the opening hours of the library at uni just now. They closed at 5pm today and re-open at 8.30 am on Monday 4 Jan. Just as well I checked before I spend hours clearing the car tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh well, will try and connect to the remote access
  • Long long day as a wage slave, and since home have sorted my office out (we did some DIY at the weekend) and its just about ready to put up the beds for our visitors (fingers crossed they make it).

Just sorted presents into piles for wrapping (quite a few being delivered in January now due to snow cancelling plans, so no rush on those.) Rest to wrap tomorrow afternoon whilst I am alone ;)

But need help as very short on stocking bits for an 8.5 year old girl (I have a DS so not used to pink bits) - she's rather a grown up young lady. Ideas please as will be doing a quick dash through town tomorrow on way to Mr S for last minute fresh stuff.

OK - off to wrap a big thing and get it safely under the tree before it is spotted!!

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

Ooops meant to say I finally got home from Bluewater, yesterday, at 9.30pm This was after leaving M&S there at 5.40pm. N and I ended up playing I Spy and just generally giggling our way through the cold!! We kept getting excited when we moved an inch..only to then stop for a half hour..lol. Bless DH he had a hot cup of tea waiting for me when I walked through the door, thanks to N phoning him when I dropped her off. Although DH had a horrendous journey home from London on the coach too - he got home at 8.30pm after getting on his coach at 5pm.. All in all it was a day of horrible travelling :( Thankfully today was much better :D

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I have some nail polishes and emery boards that I could drop off with you tomorrow, as I'm going to go that way... mind you, her mother might not be best pleased!

Another lot of fudge made and cooling. CBA to empty the DW.

Haven't packed, and kitchen is a tip. This contract review is not making progress either... have tried recalling an email I sent earlier, but it seems to be causing problems. Never mind... I just don't have time to deal with it, and the person who said they'd help has logged off, so I can't get hold of them.

Think I should probably head off to be and hope that I can get my act together in the morning!
