  • Another overpayment of £34.00 today. Received Next Directory statement, Decembers payment was £144.03, interest was £32.55:eek: so I paid £111.48 off debt. Made a payment of £135.92, will take the interest off next months payment. Toatal paid £281.40.

Oooh thanks Dragon that's kind of you. Just to check there's 31 months to July 2012? I would like to pay between £1000 and £1500 a month but I can't do that until I find out if my FT work contract ends at the end of Feb or not. Course I then need to renew or start looking for a new one. All up in the air! Can I get back to you when it's all a bit clearer?
    Thanks

I have done a snowball add up and i will apparently be debt free in 28 months
i have just paid a interest free debt for washing machine, was due to expire and go into 4 year plan at 29.5%, but sold a few things etc and just managed to pay it off so thats £610 off my debts and saved over £500 in interest :)
I am planning to clear my mint card by march so that will be £315 and as much as i can off M&S £2000

How do you do a snowball count up? Is there a calculator for these somewhere on the site?
Also am going to wait till my CC statements come to update my total at the end of the month. Have paid payments this month of £350 which i did before this challenge but ill leave it to you Dragon to decide whether it counts or not.

I use the snowballing feature on this site www.whatsthecost.com, you can go straight to the snowballing section here... http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx I've found the website to be a great help to me in sorting out my payments, I'm paying my debts in interest order, I update my snowball once a month when I have all my statements and put in my payments and interest charges.

It's a great help in knowing where you stand and along with this challenge I'm really motivated to clear all my debts
    Nearly debt free
