  • Hi

Can I please join this challenge. I am very new to DFW, but am seriously committed and having completed my snowball it calculates I should be debt free by Dec 2012.....I would love the challenge to bring that date forward to the start of the Olympics 2012 and hopefully joining the rest of you will motivate me to get there

    Hi all,

Please can I join this challenge. I am new to this site and am still finding my way around.

I need to calculate my exact debt and will post that later (it is around £8,700). It was nearer £12,500 in July 2009 - that is when i finally took my head out of the sand and decided to sort this out.

love this site!!! I will be looking to join some of the smaller challenges in order to help me achieve this one :-)

Good Luck to everyone in this challenge!!!!

    hi,

i have looked at our debts now and would like to put my starting debt down as £8,820.

currently have 3 cc's which are on 0% interest. Interest is due to start in the next two months so i am going to apply to transfer these balances to new 0% balance transfer cards. the above figure includes the 3% balance transfer fees we will incur.

I am going to try and create a signature now.:T
    Debts @ 20-04-14 = £10,987

Hi just stumbled onto this thread and would like to join. My debts are around 13000, but need to calculate this properly and then i will post again. Great idea for a challenge, even if all of the debt is not paid it still will be great to make dents into it. Also am doing the 10k challenge and the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge so it will all work together.

Sorry I wasn't around Friday night or yesterday ladies and gents! but I thought spending time with Dr Dragon and the Furry Dragon (tm) was a good idea :p, but Dr Dragon has taken the Furry Dragon (tm) out to terrorise the neighbourhood (okay, okay he's taken the Cairn terrier out for a walk!) and I am playing catch up.

So I think I have everyone (and welcome to mijmOt77, planning_ahead and skaps!) - so I will just pop off and update the opening post and then let everyone know how we are doing :D

  • I've paid another 88 GBP.

    Total now 2,552/22,713 GBP.

Probably no more updates until the end of the month - that's when we do our big payments from our "leftovers"! Payday is twice a month (15th for me, last day for OH), but I'm too panicky to wipe us out after my payday as rent is in the second half. :)

The challenges I'm taking part in have been a fab motivator - I get so excited to update my totals. Thanks for coming up with the idea and for tracking it. :T

Hi there everyone - I've just been reading the thread and it's really good (I've popped over from the PAd thread)
I'm manically calculating figures at the moment as I may join - but can someone tell me how you calculate the percentage payment on what you've paid so far?
    Thanks very much
