Just worked out, it's about 3.22% per month to pay off per month if they are doing it equally across the challenge. So anyone ahead deserves a huge clap :T :T

Thanks Gemmzie, that's really helpful! I'm *just* ahead

Hiya Dragon - can I join in please - I need to use up the last line of my signature

My debts at 31/12/09 were £34,262, one of those is a lifetime balance of 3.94% and as that is less interest than the mortgage it will have to wait until the mortgage is cleared (circa 2023)

Therefore, bearing in mind that I will probably pay £2K off that (£8750) debt in the next 2 years via minimum payments so can I have a target of £28,000 please?

I have only skimmed the 14 pages or so therefore I would be grateful if you would clarify

    1. Is there a particular day or date each month when you would like us to send you updates?

    2. Which pub will we be meeting up in to celebrate? - will there be national or regional events?

    3. I assume the celebratory event will be on the evening of or before the opening ceremony - can you confirm so I can put it in my diary (I'm a very busy girl :cool:)

Many thanks for this - I prefer this target to my snowball target

Well done Paulgonnabedebtfree and learn2cope on your payments as well :j

**UpsyDaisy** - good to see you - you are added to the Opening Ceremony post - the party will actually be the day before the Opening Ceremony and we will be on here with our own bottles of champagne (and take out of choice!:D) - it would be great to meet up in person but not really fair on KiwiSaver!

I was thinking that as we'd all be debt free and therefore flush we could chuck in a quid each to bring you over
Alternatively, you could really work hard at a particular sport, get into the Olympic team and come over for nowt - board and lodging paid as well:money:
