About time I did an update. I've been a bit quiet over last few months. My new total amount paid is £7882.77 which I calculate at 44.6% paid off. In addition over the last few months I have paid about £6000 off my mortgage, so trying not to feel too disheartened that this particular challenge is going sloooooowly..
Well done everyone on the updates. And thank you Dragon as always.0 -
Good morning all  It's Virgin statement day today so my updated totals are:
Balance is: £669.21
Balance was: £800.00
Paid off £130.79/800 = 16.35%0 -
OK, I've been so inspired by this morning's post and the fact that I'm confident that I'll pay this balance off by the Olympics I'm upping the ante! A lot (by my standards). Initially I was aiming to pay off my £800 Virgin Credit Card bill. Now I'm going to try and pay off my Capital One Credit Card bill too (currently £2200). I've spent the last 3 hours jigging figures and it looks almost possible so I'm going to commit to aiming for it!
So, new target = £3000
Total paid = £130.79 (4.36%)

Hello
First of the month update from me (no.32). Well done to all those who have paid off their debts completely!...and also to everyone else still plugging away. We've had a bit of an unexpected bonus this month which means we've been able to make it out of our £1k overdraft!! So desperate to stay out of it now as the overdraft just seems to be the hardest of debts to pay off. We've brought it down from £2.6k at its highest. When the time is right I am pretty sure I will reduce the limit to £100 which is the interest free buffer with my bank. So my total today stands at £10,187. Hoping we will be able to make it under 10k next month which will be a great boost (debt at highest was £19,800 so we are on our way to halving it). Keep going everyone, it's so easy to spend and so hard to pay off but it will be worth it. Will update again next month, thanks Dragon.
