I couldn't agree more!!!!!!! I keep my MSEing to myself in real life as the people I know wouldn't get it, they would just think you were being tight lol. Little do they know!
Fair enough, horses for courses and all that.
I guess I'm a bit evangelical about the site and tell friends and family about both the website and the forums. Both have saved me a lot of money and I've found a lot of good advice here - from planting seeds to fixing a PC problem (and lots more). Also, I suppose I don't really care what they think because if they think it's about being 'tight' they've totally missed the point and they wouldn't be the sort of people I'd want as friends anyway. My message to that greedy wunch of bankers:
Debts another fine mess you got us into!
If you see somone who hasn't got a smile, give them one of yours.0 -
Wahoo got my goodies :j all off them apart from a glitter babes lip gloss charm which they had said wasn't coming
Good job I went... they only asked my name, didn't even ask for an order number or anything
But its all there and my daughters birthday is nearly sorted :T
Thanks for your help everyone :beer:0 -
Just got a great bargain at Boots Thurmaston (leicester). Got two Royal Jelly body souffles reduced to 74p each and used a 250 point voucher so they effectively paid me £1.02 to take them away! I'll use them as little thankyou's to my Mum and Muminlaw for babysitiing!!0

Well I was so cheesed off at the boots website for constantly crashing after having got up at 0430 - and trying until 0830 and not being able to check out and constantly losing everything that was in the basket - so got up and wasted 4 hours, I emailed Boots to compain about their server and sales system
I am pleased I did as this was the reply that I got
I would also like to offer my sincere apologies for the problems you've experienced with our recent online sales.

It's just an Irish thing. Irish people tend to be completely crap with money (us MSEers excluded of course!) and don't mind being ripped off all the time. It is strange I know!!crazyposhgal wrote: »Hey Tara Thanks. I bought everything i wanted at 50% including both the sets im after. The reason i was asking is i like to always have a spareI know that probably sounds odd but i hate using stuff if i dont have a spare set even shoes. If i find a really gorgeous pair of shoes i have to buy 2 pairs to keep one spare in case something happens to the other pair. I love the inky eyes but have not tried the other set yet.

Went to a Boots in Cork (Ireland) and there were still a few things left, didn't think there would be much from lurking on this thread:) Got Extracts Beauty Bag, R Jelly Toiletry Bag, Lavender set, Rose set, couple of small sets, doggy xmas cards, And a Shoppers Survivor kit, mums survivor kit, Bar the last 2, the rest will be put away for next christmas for pressies. The mums survivors kit contains a full pack of the effervesent re-energise tablets, which retail for £3.99 (€4.99)I got the kit here for €2.37, (prob around £1.75 in UK) you get eye mask, gummi vits, meditiation cd, massage oil too. I thought it was good value if you use the vitamins anyway actually works out cheaper per pack (even with the 3 for 2 offer on vitamins) and you get the other bits and pieces too. I'm sorry I didn't pick up a few more but didn't realise at the time what was in it. Just a heads up if you spot the boxes anywhere:)0

Well this was my reply to my 1st compaint
Dear Mrs ******
Thank you for contacting us about the 75% sale we put on our website. I am sorry to hear of the errors that you experienced.
I can confirm there was an error with our website due to the popularity of the sale and as a result many items were going out of stock as our customers were trying to order them. This resulted in a number of generic error messages being displayed throughout the order process.
As a result this was taken down as the stock levels of the sale items were low or they were already out of stock.
I do apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for bringing your feelings to our attention. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Boots.com team on 0845 609 0055, quoting reference number 6220301.
We have asked a few questions at the bottom of this e-mail, which will help us make sure we have provided you with the very best customer care.
Kind Regards,

Dear **********
Thank you for your response to my colleague's e-mail. I apologise for the confusion.
If you click on the sale items now, they should show as being out of stock. Unfortunately, we don't have any sale items left in stock. I do apologise for the disappointment caused.
Thank you again for letting us know about this. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact our Boots.com team on 0845 6090055.
Kind regards

Just been to MANCHESTER TRAFFORD CENTRE.
There isnt much to really report bout left.
FCUK Set with keyring
TED BAKER £8 set (now £2)
Craanberry set £6 (no £1.50)
Cupcake flannel and lipgloss
Lavendar sets
The little floral bags with something in
Chocolate christmas tree slabs
Few belgian chocolates
Blue FCUK (i think) set with the bag for trainers
Some other 'old lady' sets
Chilli pepper set with three tubs
Chilli Pepper lipgloss set
They were however bringing out cages of stuff. But it was just more of the same stuff above really however that must mean they have more to put out so maybe will get better things in.
The lady was also putting out toys as well that were reduced with clearance labels on, I think most were 50% though.
Hope that helps some of you. I may even pop in tomorrow morning hehe Im addicted to Boots now!0 -
