yip I agree with the limit thing! Where I went it was really ok, but reading on here that some people were clearing the shelves isn't on!...fair enough full price but not in the sale...its just greed!
Online should be 2 of the same product per person and same for instore...maybe 3 per person depending...they do it in supermarkets for the very reason...folk are greedy! You may walk and you may run

Went to my local Boots just this morning and was really pleased with what I got - the shelves were pretty much bare but still managed to get some FCUK giftsets (for birthdays), a fresh hamper, botanics cosmetic purse, a rose boxed giftset (present), a couple of photo albums, a leather purse, a boots moisturiser set and a box of sweets (for me me me)! All for less than 30 quid. There is still heaps and heaps of wrapping paper lying about too.
Hi, What store was this? I will put it on the list.
On another note am i the only one not interested in the Chilli Pepper stuff?"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroepinkladymel wrote: »she hasn't lost the ol' Bootsing magic:D

it was all quite civilised yesterday morning when i got to my local boots except 2 ppl one with a huge pram who wouldnt move away from shelfs stood with the pram straight across most of it, the other was an elderly lady with her pully who practically done the same i had my 2 yr old son in his buggy and spent most of the time saying excuse me plz and sorry when i got in someones road its not as if there wasnt enough to go round
Your braver than I ever was - I never went in to busy shops when my 2 were in the buggy (mind you it was one of those double MacClaren ones that barely fitted through doorways! :rotfl:)
These days even with buggy long gone I avoid taking them in to busy shops - not much fun for them or me - my son groans when I say those 'I'm just going to have a quick look in here' words
I did have the kids with me when I called in to the recent River Island sale on the first day which wasn't too busy (don't think people in my town knew about it)
I make them stand still at the front of the shop tucked out of the way and hold hands till I'm ready to go to the till (I'm such a cruel Mam!)0 -

In part I agree with what you say, however, you must have a much smaller family than I do. I am one of five children - my brothers and sisters have 13 children between them. I also have my Mum, four children, 3 step children, 2 grandchildren and a son-in-law and son's girlfriend to buy for - birthdays and Christmas. I think 10 items isn't going to go very far in my family!! I generally only buy what I want for birthdays and Christmas and sometimes something that I wanted for me!
Personally, I wasn't able to shop yesterday - at home from work illand my online order didn't go through even though I got as far as verified by Visa and getting an order number - it just never appeared in my order history
but thanks to a very good friend and my lovely daughter who got me some things instore, I do have some pressies for this year! Even last year, I was at work when the sale started and had to wait to get into town, so some of the really good stuff was already sold out - it's kind of a matter ofluck and being (able to be) in the right place at the right time - and I'm never there but tagging along some way behind everyone else :rotfl:

think someone a few pages back bought one last week when they came on boots.com at 20 quid went to pick up and asked if they could buy it back if they gave it back and it went back on the shelfs again worked out 12.50
That was me. The SA is very friendly and she did not mind doing that for me. I am tempted to do the same with the one I bought in store in December. I still have the receipt. I might ask the SA first if I can do it again, and see what she says.0 -

I reckon those types of people would be like that with or without a buggy0 -
3 hatboxes for sale on ebay
how much would they of been in the 75% sale
Apologies if i hurt anyone's feeling, but i find this wrong, i know so lots of people that were trying really hard to purchase one of these for their kids/neices, i tried as well but alas it was out of stock. To buy something on sale only to sell it off for a profit (unless it was a unwanted present then i understand). That too at that price! I didnt realise boot shopping could get so manic.
Went to Oxford Street yesterday evening, it was choas, not the people the shelves, I have never seen a boots store so cluttered, and boxes were open, why on earth would someone open a gift set box and take individual items is beyond me, i myself would feel embarrassed if someone saw me do that. People were buying items in abdundance (3-4 of the same item) im assuming mostly because its on sale. Thats what i dont get why get a item solely because its on sale?
Are those GOK sets any good? is there a age range for who they will be suitable for? Have a birthday for a cousin and neice (25 and 15 yrs) coming up0 -
The pushing and all that was non existent...I got a Gok set then helped 2 wifies get the last 2 from the back of the bottom shelf..see you all have to move up here!lol..kinda wish I took them all now but hey ho!!!(kidding!)
by the way the Gok sets are really really lovely...the shower cap is abit dodgy though!!haha! You may walk and you may run

Anyone seen any Chilli Pepper bags in south yorkshire?
Thats only thing i wanted for myself and havent been able to get one so far...
There were loads of the chilli pepper bags at Parkgate first thing yesterday morning. By the time I left at approx ten, there were still a couple. I think if they are shifting that quick then you would find it difficult to find them. Have you tried Cortonwood? They usually have a good selection.May £10 a day challenge£19.61/£310Ebay challenge...£12.61/£2000 -

I've not seen a shower cap that isn't a bit dodgy!
What region are you in? - my Boots was civilised too and quite a few others have posted to say they didn't have too bad a time of it in this years sale0
