Gettingready, really there is no magic wand, and you have had rather alot of sound advice on this topic. I feel you are asking an awful lot of questions, but what have you done or arranged to do to resolve this?
By just going to a trainer who is qualified, they maybe able to suggest how to deal effectively with the problem, sometimes it is so obvious to all but ourselves. Even if you only go once, then are consistent at home with what you have learned.
It would be such a shame if this behaviour carries on, as you are well aware of the impact of neighbour complaints to the council re noisy tenants.
If you cannot get to Crosskeys, then there are plenty of other trainers in this area, I know of one lady in Wanstead who goes to Doreen in Barking(appropriately enough) on a Sunday, and she also offers home visits.0 -
loobyloo2- I am not asking a lot of questions, I am asking ONE question, same from the start of this topic
Just because people sidetrack from what I am asking about - does not mean I was/am asking for advice on other issues.
I am not looking for a training club/classes as Zara barks INDOORS when left alone and I am NOT at work so going to outside classes is not going to help/sort this out. Thsi needs to be adressed at home and the only PB I have contacted (so far) quoted me £365 for a 3 hour session - this I can not afford at the moment.
I rest my case here...as I obviously can not put the point of my thread across to some people.....they know better what my problem is and not matter how many time I write it is BARKING while left alone for even 30 sec ....BARKING...0 -
I think you misinterpret my last post
. Where others would actually sift through and be pro-active, you wish to rest your case....so be it
Anyway, some good has come from this, there have been some very interesting links and advice which I greedily devoured, so thanks to the posters for this;)0 -
Loobyloo- great... so imagine this:
You are asking what to cook if you have potatoes, water, salt and some carrots and you state that you are a vegetarian.
I give you a receipe that involves beef, tomatoes, cumin and parsley.
And you dare not to be grateful for my help?
Now, I rest my case....0 -
Hon, you have been given plenty of advice, suggestions and links from so many people since you first opened this thread over 2 weeks ago. I was interested to see if you had taken anyones advice and addressed your problems with Zara, or just keep coming back having tried nothing?
So far I have only noticed you buying and returning a faulty product!
I reiterate, there is NO magic, and you don't seem to accept that the other problems you have with her may well be linked. As someone stated before, you need to look outside of the box.
Just to remind you, I did have problems with my boy, and they were of my own making, I just didn't realize that at the time, but a good trainer who was interested in all of his behaviour managed to sort this out with us, a 7 hour drive away, so problems do not need at source to be seen to be dealt with.
I realized from going to this trainer, that although I thought I was doing everything right, was in fact cocking up big time, and i am now the proud owner of a very well behaved young man;)0 -
Oh c'mon, of course I appreciate all the advice given here and thanked each and every single ciontributor to the thread by the "Thank you" button.
Zara is wearing the lampshade now and may need an operation on her leg so.. feeling sorry for her but once she is up and runnign again will use all the tips and tricks on her.
Thanks a lot.
(thinking on how to get home from work - severe wether/snow warnings coming via email - brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)0 -

Rubbish analogy. :wall: You are asking what to cook if you have potatoes, water, salt and some carrots and you state that you are a vegetarian. Gordon Ramsay gives you a recipe that involves chick peas, tomatoes, cumin and parsley and offers to start prepping whilst you nip to Tesco! You can't be bothered go out in the snow, so you have carrot and potato soup for tea and are hungry an hour later.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
