My thread has disappeared

Hi I started a thread yesterday or the day before about Test and Vote in the freebies section and received quite a few replies. It has now disappeared without a trace, cannot be found even on specific searches. Any suggestions as to why?

Thanks for the suggestion, but even when I search for it in forums with my user name and the keywords, it doesn't seem to come up with anything. I'd like to track it down so I can thank those who replied!!

Its definitely been removed from the site. Presumably it broke a t&c but as I didn't read it, I can't tell what that might have been.

If you go to your profile and look for all threads started by you, you will find it is missing from the list.

Thanks for looking Bossyboots. How could I find out why it had been removed? It was a discussion as to whether survey companies give enough incentives to fully reimburse the likes of us for supplying them with information about our opinions. I have seen much more contentious stuff on these boards - or so I thought.

Prob merged with an existing thread on the same or similar subject.... one of mine got moved and merged with a thread from 2005.... no-one told me either....

You could e-mail [Removed by Forum Team] and ask them. Also, the names of the Board Guides for that forum should appear at the bottom of its main page and you send one of them a PM to ask if they know what the problem was.

It could have been one of the companies themselves that objected or it may have got heated for some reason and that is why it was removed.

Otherwise, you may have to wait until someone else who had posted in it come on and say if anything untoward happened but I would go with contacting abuse or the board guide just to find out.

as there is no guarantee that a particular BG will read this thread and be able to answer you, you could pm one of the BG's on freebies and ask them

There are loads of threads on Test and Vote. This might be why it got pulled. As far as I can see it has not been merged with one of them but the board guide on freebies will be able to point you in the right direction if it has.
