OP you are being far too hard on yourself I think part and parcel of your depression which is an illness you will recover from.

Get things in perspective you haven't killed anyone. If you haven't taken drugs and I firmly believe that (you only have to read your eloquent and self depreciating posts to know you do not use drugs) you conscience is clear and you are the wronged party.

Be strong.

No. 1 is a bit of a catch all. Could relate to illegal, prescription or over the counter drugs. Needs to be more specific.

re. i) as you don't do drugs, there will be no evidence to prove this. i don't see that there will be anything to substantiate this truly in statement form either - if there was you would be entitled to have your hair assayed.

ii) 'sustained' what does that mean? to me it means week in week out - not for less than an hour on a drunken works nights out. also, this could relate equally to the manager, especially with your grievance in place.

this is why i wanted to clarify the official allegations -personally, i don't see how these are going to be substantiated?

i wonder if the reason (again, don't want to get hopes up) that the employer wants it done asap is because the OP is good at his job, and is absence at work proves it.

we still want you to be totally prepared though;).

Re Post 67 page 4 ii from what Op has said, there is nothing at all to back up sustained threatening behaviour and verbal abuse, one incident after a drunken night with most if not all witnesses and both protagonists under the influence of alcohol, could not hold as 1005 reliable evidence imho. Prepare your case well, and relax as much as you can. I would suggest a rest from the board for a couple of days for some R & R with your wife and child. You come over as plausible and believable, and I hope this ends favourably for you.

I was in no way implying the OP was being misleading merely that he is presenting his own case. In every dispute there are two sides to a story, most posters here, including myself, find him to be plausible and, if self-deprecating, a credible person. I also believe that unless the OP has new news constant speculation on the outcome does him no good whatsoever and that it would be best for him to take a couple of days break from here whilst every one else kept their own counsel.

Cant really give any assistance to the OP, I'll leave that to those who are more knowledgable and experienced.
