It doesn't say that, although it is sort of implied on the website. I phoned & spoke to them, lovely chap, confirmed they would hope you would order a replacement but would give money back. Retain packaging in case need to return but could take off plastic. Having been attacked by a spring this morning I suspect I'll be happy with my new one!

The location I visited was only a bed showroom & they were pushing the makes to avoid so I'll be ordering from mynextmattress once I work out what day I can be at home for delivery. Kozeesleep Xilence.

I don't see it even implied.

You said that the man on the phone said that he would hope you would order a replacement, which doesn't say that they will take the old one back if you have unpacked it and slept on it.

I wouldn't take what you were told on the phone as gospel. If it doesn't say they give a proper satisfaction in their terms and conditions then assume they don't. You may find that they will exchange out of good will, but if it came to it I doubt it would happen. They would most likely tell you to go away and read their T&C's.

In the About Use section: "We offer a 7 working day returns policy. 7 working days after your delivery, you can tell us that you dont like your mattress. We will have it collected and will offer a replacement, refund or alternative mattress with no questions asked."

Ordered the Orthopocket so will report back :)

  • I have a Crest mattress - absolutely gorgeous! I would recommend going to a local bed store and testing a few out and then getting straight onto the internet and find your best bargain of the one you like! I certainly wouldn't recommend orthopedic ones or buying without bouncing (in the best possible sense)
    :wall:Pronounced Bouquet, if you please!
  • oh I dont know if im glad I saw this thread or not, Im buying new bed in two weeks and had been happily plodding along with a few in mind, and thats all thrown into turmoil now, I dont have a clue what to get!!!
I need superking so back to the drawing board for me I think!
  • OMG, this bed buying business is complicated! The only website I can find that allows returns after you've unpacked and slept on the bed is Bedlum Beds...but they don't do several of the beds I'm interested in. Does anyone know of any others, or if you're worried about advertising, please can you tell me your Google search terms that helped you to find them?

Thanks everyone for all the top tips on toddler beds. I've looked at the Kozeesleep Toy Box and La Romantica Oriel divans - are these the right kind of spec in terms of fillings etc?

We will all have new beds one day soon......!

That just complies with distance selling regs, and doesn't mean they have to take them back if they have been used.

The Mattress Emporium offers an identical guarantee (and prices) to Bedlum Beds - Almost word for word in fact...

    w w w.themattressemporium.com/terms-conditions.php
    w w w.bedlum-beds.co.uk/section/0/Terms-Conditions

Bedlum Beds is the only site I've found that sells complete beds though...
  • Sorry to hijack this thread but as I am about to take the plunge on a new a mattress I would be interested to hear anybody opinions on "Relaxsan Orthosoft", this is what we currently have on our normal size double bed and both me & the missies a happy with it (approximately 4 years old) so as we have recently purchased a kingsize bed was going to opt for the same as the choices out there seem bewildering to say the least!

They say they will take them back no questions asked therefore they won't be asking me if it has been used ;). Am sure it won't be an issue as I have always found any firm mattress very comfortable.

Ask them for confirmation in writing that they will take it back if it has been unpacked and slept on for a few nights.
