Firefox wont load up

Download HostsXpert
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Security-Related/Hoster.shtml
and then follow the below steps.

* Unzip HostsXpert.zip
* It will create a folder named HostsXpert in whatever folder you extract it to.
* Run HostsXpert.exe by double clicking on it.
* click the Make Writeable? button.
* click Restore Microsoft's Hosts File and then click OK.
* Click the X to exit the program

I was hoping putting the hosts file back to how it should be will allow the other programs to update?

no its even worse now as i uninsta;;ed avg and now havent got an anti virus prog cos it wont let me register because it says it cannot connect to the internet, seriously thinking formatting is the only way to make it normal again atm

tried skipping it but wasnt an option and it says all ** must be filled in and wont let me continue till i fill it in

It will as I only did one last week

Remove ALL the information (dont fill ANY of it in)
You might need to untick or tick something at the bottom too
