[Deleted User] wrote:Hi,
are you using latest version, 3.5.6?
That's not the latest version.I'm using 3.6 Beta 5.
Not bad but dont use the Personas for it (type of online skin) as they slow it down immensly.0 -
checked all that yesterdayAre you using firewall software? Mozilla suggest problems caused straight after an update might be firewall related - some tips here on the main ones: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_websites
and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firewalls
uninstalled all add ons
might uninstall it and try the beta version and if that doesent work will get mr wokkies to reformat it if nothing else works:oto be updated:;)0 -
Reformatting is a bit drastic. It might be something like a corrupted Firefox profile. Maybe try setting up a new profile using the instructions for creating a new profile here - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager0

This should fix it, but be prepared.... You'll lose your settings, passwords, addons and form history if you do this. So make sure you have passwords/etc and anything you need written down somewhere.
In the run command or search BS thing in Vista, copy/paste the following into it:
rmdir "%userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla" /q /s
Hit Enter and then:
rmdir "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla" /q /s
DO NOT mistype any of that, you could do some serious damage to your profile if "Mozilla" is missing from those lines.
Then do the full reinstall (of Firefox)
I did this accidentally (don't ask) and it totally reset Firefox to install settings.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Youve not put it into OFFLINE mode have you?
If not then id recommend you backup your bookmarks (If you need to) and setup a new profile as per post #14:idea:0 -

Except, doing as I suggested removes all Firefox data from your user profile and is therefore just as good minus the hassle of setting all of Windows back up to your preferences
It only affects your profile, so at the very least it's worth a go before resorting to a new one.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The link above gives instructions on how to use Firefox's Profile Manager to create a new profile for Firefox. It does not change any Windows user profile settings.0 -

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at en-gb.start3.mozilla.com.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
but at least its not saying done now and nothing been there:rolleyes:to be updated:;)0 -
That 'should' have completely reset firefox so I suspect the problem is elsewhere
Check your firewall ~ just double check that firefox is allowed
