  • Good morning MSEers.

Hubby has gone with son to brave Morrisons (snigger)

I'm enjoying a cuppa tea and I've put the heating back on - SO cold, our street is virtually an ice rink.

The meal out last night was ok but I kept getting very frustrated with the outlaw's family, a load of them just wouldn't sit down, they were stood around clutching their pints like it was the elixir of life while the poor waitresses were trying to squeeze past to serve the food  It took ages for them to stop yapping and sit at the table.
One of the kids found the CD player behind him and wouldn't stop mucking about with the volume and skipping tracks

    ....and breathe !

    ...Linda xx
It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Less people = less Christmas tips for staff which they have probably already spent! - mentally at least.

Just checked the weather forecasts and Skegness is going to be bad, and I've woken up with a sore throat and earache, so I can't go there. Shame. I'll still try and get to Scarborough though, it doesn't sound too bad between here and there, and if I don't stay too long it'll be ok.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Stick a Christmas CD on and just do it bit by bit Ellie, try not to get stressed about it all, I stopped that malarky years ago.

I think we put far too much pressure on ourselves to make the perfect Christmas when to be honest we are all sick of the sight of the stuff by New Year:rolleyes:

It did! I was getting so wound up, it doesn't help that they're all big drinkers and I'm not at all! (neither is my hubby - he's so the odd one out in the family) They are so loud!

I had 2 glasses of wine with the meal and then didn't want any more, I'm just not a big drinker at all, I'll enjoy it with a meal or have a nice glass of Baileys but this quaffing drink after drink after drink it completely pointless to me.

Agreed Lou, Just think of it as a regular Sunday roast - with extras!
    That's what I do.
