Hi I'm Sue, been a pensioner for 2 1/2 years so anything that saves pennies is a boon to me. I used to do daily clicks and must get back into them. I do surveys which bring in some vouchers and cash but not enough to cover all the family's presents, so I'd like to join this forum and hopefully make a bit extra by reading all your ideas.
Atm I have £50 M&S vouchers, £100 Nectar points and am waiting on a cheque for £60 from a survey site which will go toward 2010. I'm looking forward to adding to that with the hints and tips here0 -
I've been good today, started to jot down rewards I'd like to aim for for people in my notebook- like magazine subscription using Tesco points for mil/fil, restaurant voucher for bil/sil 1 etc. Gives me something to aim for.
I've also decided in terms of xmas 2010, to do a version of snowman soup for everyone as a gift, so will be looking out in the sales for mugs, hot choc sachets, marshamallows, sweeties and candy canes. I think it'll cost me just over £12 for all 12 people, so I'm very happy with that!0 -
welcome one and all!!
With dooyoo - the first £20 is the hardest and most time consuming, until people get to know you and rate the reviews back. "churning" i.e. writing rubbish reviews just over the word limit to get your points is frowned upon so make sure they are fairly good reviews. It gets easier I promise.
I got £70 in about 6 months and I was not 100% into it. I'm aiming a lot higher next year, mainly because you can virtually buy anything on amazon - so even for myself through the year, it will cover the cost of ink cartridges etc.
:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

Hi I'm Gertie - some people call me dirty - but you can make your own minds up! hehe!
I've subscribed to this thread and the blog and have tried to download the s/sheet but the site tells me there is a problem - has anyone else had this?
This year, OH has done most of the shopping and we hope to not spend so much next year - hence the idea of this!

Hi, Im Hannah, and I was a bit of a lurker on the other thread as I didnt find it until november, but I did post 1 or 2 times! I would love to join in for 2010. I arent so bothered about paying for presents etc with money made through surveys etc, but I would love to make extra money/vouchers that can be spent on either presents or on day to day things! I live with my OH, no children as yet, as we're only 18 and 19!!
Hope you will have me.. Hannah xx'Patience is a virtue till we die. Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0 -

Hi, wondering if i could join this thread. I have always been overly organised and addicted to list writing, glad to know I'm not the only one!
I'm Sadie (26 after xmas), married to Alfie (26) been together for 9 years, married for 2 in June. We have a gorgeous little girlie (2 going on 20) and are planning on having more next year. We have three dogs and a whole army of family between us lol!!
I have been doing survey sites for a few years and have saved a lot by using the vouchers I have earned. My problem is I tend to buy early, think I'm being organised then double-up on pressies as I forget I have already bought for someone!
Hope everyone has a lovely xmas and and all the best for 2010
