I too have started planning for next year. My draw under my bed is now ready and waiting for all my little bargains i find through out the year although i do plan to make more next year.

I do this too lol, I've now wrapped and delivered all this xmas' gifts, and saw it empty, felt quite excited about being able to fill it again lol!

I have 12 people to buy for at xmas and birthdays: mum, dad, sister, little cousin... then mil, fil, bil 1, sil 1, neice, nephew, bil 2, sil 2. I spend £10 actual money per person- but only buy things worth £20+ iykwim. So I'd need £240 to match what I normally spend at £10 actual pp. Then there's 4 anniversaries I buy a bottle of plonk for so that's another £20, and £10 on mothers day per mum, £10 fathers day per dad.... so thats another £40, so I'd like to make a nice even £300.

I don't include mine and OH friends as what we do changes with them all gift wise each year changes. This year OH only agreed to swap gifts with 2 mates and spent £30 on them. I only swapped gifts with 3 friends and we all agreed to spend £3 per person (OH isn't an MSEr lol!!)

    Hello everyone! :hello:

Have found this thread through following the 'organised' one and would love to join up for 2010!
Already do topcashback and yougov as well as loyalty cards, and I'm ebay mad (though I spend whatever I make :o - not next year!) , am going to look into some of the other sites mentioned too.
I live with dh and dd(8) and ds(6), teach primary, just supply at the mo, hoping for permanent position soooooon!!!!
Would love to be debt free by 2011, but realistically just reducing it would be great!

Thank you jamtart6, feeling very optimistic 'bout next year :T :T :T

had a very lucrative day, to add to my £20 quidco I just checked paypal and had £35 in there so withdrew £25 today.
It looks so much better when you see it all accumulate on a SS :D

Hi i am sharon, mum of 3 (13, 7 and 5months) looking forward to this challenge
  • Hiya,

I'd love to join in. I'm Caroline from Northern Ireland. I live with Chris and we are trying for a baby, so far five years, one miscarriage and still trying.

I adore Christmas and always spend too much. I do start in January each year, with recycling unwanted gifts but still end up rushing around trying to magic up money that doesn't exist in December.

Look forward to hearing how everyone else manages to save money.
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

    Hi Caroline,

This year I have found earning Amazon vouchers has REALLY helped. My Dad and brother always ask for DVDs and this year I have managed to get them all for free using vouchers I've earnt. My favourite site, and one I'll be visiting a lot next year, is Dooyoo. You just review whatever you like: products, tv shows, places etc and earn dooyoo points. You get 500 points for every review you write, then an additional 15 points every time someone rates your review. It is surprisingly quick and easy to get £20 worth of points. The best tip is to make sure you rate a lot of people's reviews as they usually rate yours in return so that builds up your points.

This year I would like to investigate the 'daily clicks' I've seen mentioned a lot. Can anyone tell me more about it please?
