Have just set up my 2010 Gift Spreadsheet; am going to go through the 'stash' of presents tonight and allocate as far as possible, then at least I know I'm not doubling-up and spending if I've already got something suitable.0

Right im back again
My to date totals as they stand now
Boots - £8 (i did have more but I bought snacks for the plane this summer oops)
Onepoll - £36.50
TopCashback(i prefer it to Quidco plus I get bored of stuff and forget and you have to pay for Quidco) - £41 something
TwopoundCoin sealed jar - No idea im going to guess £300 only cause I know i put two £20 notes in from being a lovely neighbour and watching their boy a couple of nights
I think im aiming to get money neutral for Xmas next year and to reduce my trainfare costs
so if i can offset those two Id be pretty happy I think (although if i get it in a glitch or an offer I normally end up happy anyway)
Im guessing a few of us off here will be Boots 75% offing again in the New Year til the Early hoursLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
Hi im kirsty (27) and live with my dh(25) and our three dogs. No kids as yet but maybe in the future that will all change
I did try to follow the 2009 thread but I found it really difficult to keep up and I get distracted very easily.
Have joined cashback sites though and have sold the odd thing on ebay so will try and get that going a bot more in 2010.
looking forward to following this thread in 2010.
merry christmas to all.

Hi all, I would like to join in please! I found the santa's challenge in about August (thanks mum2one!) and have been loving it, determined to be with them from the start this year, and also to join this thread.
I am elyphant, married with 2 DSs (8,3) and a step-DS (12) in the hols. Hoping to go back to uni requalify next year so really need to be thrifty, we struggle at the best of times to keep within the overdraft so a lot of MSE work needed over the coming months.
Will subscribe to the updates now!0 -

Can i join in too please:D, i joined last year but wasnt very active on the thread. I was managed to be about 85% money neutral other 15% was last min unexpected gifts:rolleyes:.
I too have started planning for next year. My draw under my bed is now ready and waiting for all my little bargains i find through out the year although i do plan to make more next year. This year i only managed 2 hampers, snowmen soups (12) and sweetie bowls(4), mainly because i was not organised enough. I'm also trying to beat this years budget too, think i managed all gifts, food, sweets and alcohol for around £400 and hoping to only spend £300 for next year.
So far i have....
Nectar points - 2001, aiming for 11000 again
Park hamper - paid £60 out of £300 (i always get these as a back up and mainly use them in the sales for the following year and for birthday gifts through out the year)
Boots points - £63ish, i'm due my second bubs in april so i'll probably spend £50 of them of stocking up on toiletries etc but i'm aiming for £50 for xmas
Topcashback - £32ish hoping for £60+ for xmas
Shop&scan - 4500, should have £50ish for xmas
Tesco stamps - currently have £61 out of £100 for bubs and want £150 for xmas, this comes from any saving i make instores and free scratchie money
Sorry for the long winded post but if i write it all down it helps keep me on track.£387.39/£196.46
Pay my debt by End of Feb 2022
49.28% paid!
£199.55/£500 savings by End of April 2022
39.91% saved!
Make £2022 in 2022 - £200 -
Hello can i join please? I only found the 2009 thread a few days ago haven't read all through it yet but would love to join 2010. I long to be organised, infact I dream about it when I'm asleep

Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -
Hi All, I'm Anna, 32 and I live with my DH in snowy Suffolk! I did this challenge during 2009 and am currently in profit by £60! By taking advantage of any offers, special vouchers, free or no spend gifts, recycling gifts, by selling some things and also doing quite a few mystery shops, it has meant that I have been able to buy all my Birthday and Xmas gifts neutrally!!
I hope to be able to manage the same again this year and also I intend to make more of my gifts next year! Much to my mother's delight I am taking up patchwork and so will start with cushion covers and hopefully work my way up!
This forum has some fantastic ideas for those of us on a budget and I intend to use these ideas myself!
Good luck everyone and have a brilliant, money neutral 2010!!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109
Slowly, Slowly = Oct '09: £30693, Aug '15: £14820. Could Be Debt Free April 2020, but hoping for sooner!0
