    Morning everyone

My cold is going, have been laid up on the settee for two days but up to sitting on here this morning for a bit so have got a review on Dooyoo that I wrote a few days ago but didnt get round to putting it on as I couldnt find the film in their catalogue but found it now. Have written another one for a book I have just finished but cant find that in the catalogue either so have suggested it. I thought I was further on with my points than I am but must have miss read it the other day. I have 16345 towards my next voucher.

I am 10p off claiming £25 from Cashback rewards, I am hoping it goes up the 10p before the 15th then I will get the money end if this month but if it goes on after the 15th I wont get it until end of next month as they have a cut off point for claiming.

Havent done any clicks since Friday as not been that well but will get back into them again probs tomorrow.

Might get my fabrics down and sort them out for my daughters quilt ready to sew. Cant really put the machine on today or tomorrow as its upstairs in the spare room and OH is on nights so will wake him up.
  • Morning all, Hope you are all well

    Started on the February challenge.

Have found a couple of old mobiles so will have a search to see where the best place for them to go is.

Unforunately no old cartridges in our house.

Can't stand EBay but going to fo a car boot at a local indoor one sometime in the next few weeks so will add this to my christmas fund.

I've already cut back as much as I can (only really spend money on groceries, get day passes if I'm getting the bus which is rare and always work out the cheapest way to pay for anything else) so I'm going to go for £20 savings from multibuys and whoopsies ;) Will also try to up my dooyoo balance, but I'm trying to study 2 OU courses (60 & 30 points) and normally do 2 days voluntary work in DDs school as well (used to be 5, but for now while its quite & I'm just starting my courses I've cut it to 2) and I need to spend more time exercising to shift my excess weight.

Anyways, I went to Asda yesterday and saved £2.46 so I'll put that to one side once I have some change :rotfl::rotfl: Off to Somerfield today (via the doctors :rotfl:) so I'll have a mooch in there as well ;)

Well done Nicki on your savings. That's a good idea counting the money saved on promotions into your challenge. I'll do that as well. My daughter loves that new cereal Krave so I bought 2 while still only £1.00 (usual £2.29) they have a long shelf life so they'll be fine. £2.58 saved

I had bid on two things on ebay, but when I got outbid I didn't go any higher which I normally would have done, so I have made a saving that way as well.

    Good luck everyone!

    Xmas Saver!
I've started the Feb savings with £2.00, brought a watch from Argos sale, and they'd put the wrong watch in the box, been gone 30 mins (had to make a couple calls b4 left, was describing the watch then realised it was the wrong one), so took it bad, said I'd wasted petrol as the fault was not mine so they gave me £2.00 for petrol!!

:wave:Hello all! Have been so disappointed not to complete the January challenge. :( I thought I'd have a weekend dooyoo-ing to catch up(last minute as always!!!) but then a nasty stomach bug started working its way through the whole family, grrrr! Got over it when I realised I've made over £50 altogether this month which is still brilliant- and I'm going to carry on ebaying and dooyoo-ing now that it's a habit! :D

For my sister's birthday in March have decided to do a twilight hamper- any ideas??? She has the books and the dvd so it's little extras really. There are a few bits on play.com but want to get as much as I can for £20/30. Know some of you are fans so hope you can help?!!

I think I'll have to just try the £20 savings, no mobiles to get rid of and no ink cartridges either. Will also keep going with Dooyoo, though I've had a very busy week at work and have also managed to do in my shoulder again, so everything is taking me twice as long.

So far, I've got £2 which I found on the floor of my bus home this evening, so that's gone into an old hot chocolate tub which is my designated savings pot now.

Went whoopsie shopping today at Somerfields as I know they do great reductions ;) I saved £9.76 on multi-buys & whoopsies in there and then another £1.60 in the co-op on reduced tomatoes/celery bringing my savings to £13.82 in total for the month already :D:j

This is good as I have just put aside a hamster cage for DD's birthday :D Its going to cost me £10 (unless I haggle him down on this as well ;) ) and some elbow grease/pet friendly cage cleaner :j Her birthday isn't until April, but it means I can buy something each week towards it and then Easter weekend (when its her actual birthday) I can take her to buy the hamster :D:j Looking forward to having a pet again. Haven't had once since I left home 10 years ago, unless you count DD and dog sitting for the ex-il's :p:rotfl::rotfl:
