Good good, was wondering if the former's payments would be in before xmas. :D

On another note, I got a call from them asking me to do a burger job, to which I said no can do, hope that doesn't mean the end of said jobs

    Merry Christmas all
  • Just got my pay from Gyp - minus the promised reimbursement for the postage spent on the stamp jobs AND minus the promised reimbursement for the return of the coffee equipment they requested back GRRRR. Not sure its worth complaining as they are most likely to block me from the few remaining clients I can do. Not that I have been able to get any work from them this month!

Hi all, just popped in to wish you all a Happy Christmas.

Hollypear PM'd me recently just to say hello, which reminded me about this thread. I'm doing a lot less MSing nowadays, but still have some good regular jobs, so nice to see that things are still chugging along :D

Season's greetings to all MSers - and remember NOT to work for nothing/ridiculously low fees! :D:D

PS I'll be back to note the posts L and R of this one......

We do miss you JM. I just wondered what happened to you. Any newbies go check JM's list of useful phrases on the opening of this thread. Means you can cut and paste some of the often used phrases we use.

Mine is missing that too. I did a lot of heavy ones, so it's a lot of money too :(

I only did one stamp job so I might not be 100% on the details but I thought the reimbursement for the postage would be paid at a later date, after the wave was over? Something about the client checking the actual postage costs were correct?

You might find you get reimbursed next month or the next again.

"The actual cost of the postage will be captured, reconciled and presented to the client at the end of the project. All shoppers will be reimbursed the value of the postage that they paid, plus a fixed fee and their reimbursement for a purchase. "

Thats the quote from a job that's still open. It doesn't actually say when the shopper gets the postage back but I read it as, when the project is over GYP claim the postage back and then pay the shoppers back. Could be a while yet if there's still jobs to do.

Thanks for that! They have also not reimbursed me for the return of the coffee equipment they requested. Has anyone ever had to do this and gotten their postage back?

I've joined up to Helion-according to a reply I've had to a query training should be online later this week and jobs starting Jan/Feb.
I've also just done my training for emysteryshopper so just waiting to see if I've passed :-/
  • *sigh* Just been on the phone to a numpty in Antwerp who opened queries on two of my jobs saying that I hadn't made a "comparison" in my comments and then pasted my comments where I had made a "comparison". I pointed out to them on the phone that if they wanted people to respond to emails requesting more information, it was necessary to use the correct word (in this case it was not comparison) rather than just plonking a "?" at the end of a sentence. I as good as told them that what they were asking for was impossible and that I would be making up the additional comments (I already told them what happened - I followed the brief to the letter and answered their question precisely) and all they said was that they were expecting my email. *sigh*
