am i the only one that doesnt mind burger jobs? i think they are ok paid compared to most of the things on re or even a large supermarket on tns. yes the fee isnt that much but when you consider it is only £1 less than a re job that takes 10x as long to do and write up they are worth it!
I also think they are OK - they make good "filler jobs". I look on them as a litle bit extra if I am going to the place already. I completely agree about the fee - OK it is a pittance, but mostly all the observations are second nature to regular MSers and the reporting is so quick. The only time it is a bit of a pain is when a query arises.

As for the reviewing of CCTV .... there are plenty of jobs (various companies/clients) that mention this in the brief. I look on this as a positive. If I do the job properly and report it accurately, the CCTV footage can only confirm this. :)

  • I am just about to register for tax and I am wondering which payments I need to declare. Is it just the fees? Do I need to declare the reimbursements aswell? I am also being paid an incentive fee for a job. What does that mean? Do I declare that aswell?

That's the problem I've been having... have to create 3 or 4 zip files for each job as they are too big to email. Have uploaded to the site as per brief each time, and this is relatively quick and painless ;) but then without fail I get a phone call / email, asking if I could also email them through. Which then takes hours. Not sure if it's my email client (I use gmail) but it's tedious...

Got two more of them to do this month then that's it for now, thank goodness!

ETA: Just checked and my ESA jobs are all still pending too...

You need to make your actual photo size smaller. Check the settings before starting taking the photos. If you've got it set to a large size - eg over 2MP, when you create your zipped file it's going to be huge. Especially in large stores with lots of empty shelves!! I have my camera phone set to "VGA" which is still a good size but when zipped the file isn't too big.

:T Thanks TG - I just checked on my phone and it was set to 2MP. Have set to VGA, so hopefully shouldn't take me so long to send tonight!! Have one to do this afternoon which is HUGE and spans 2+ aisles... so wasn't exactly relishing the prospect!

I just read a post about TERN... which reminded me, I registered a while back (December, maybe?), but never actually got round to doing the test assignment (paid work came first!). Does anyone know if there's a time limit on it?

Seems they are quite a good company to work for, so I should really try to get it done this weekend, whilst I'm fairly quiet work-wise...

Just got accepted for ESA drinks one for this weekend :)

    1 down 9 to go!!
  • Anyone else get bored of the same jobs sitting on RE as no one wants them due to the lack of fee! I'm talking about the pizza delivery ones, and also pubs in the more "dodgy" areas which it appears no one will touch with a barge pole! I would love to see an 'acknowledge' button so we can hide the jobs we know we won't do and then don't have to scroll through the same jobs every time we log in!
