I've applied for 23 ESA food store jobs. Just hope they don't allocate them all to me!! I'm guessing I'll get zero!
I was thinking that too, I've applied for lots and there are only so many packs of eggs that we can eat! Omelettes all round if they assign them all to me.

I applied for 32 jobs on ESA. (More originally but had to be realistic). Not been given any yet but they phoned me this morning to see if I was interested in 5 or 6 others that are 50-70 miles away!!

Have tried to apply for jobs that I thought I could do in 3 nice round circuits over 3 days and Saturday to catch up if needed. What are the odds they give me the two furthest away jobs in each circuit so that it just isnt worth my while doing them?
  • Hi everyone, my apologies if I am repeating someone's question, but:

Which Mystery company does Marks and Spencer's ?

feels strange not checking re at this time of night whilst writing a report!

looks like esa have only allocated 300 or so jobs out of the 3000 although there have been new ones added today in my area i think as well. i'm really happy with mine as they are only a few mins away and i only applied for two as thats prob all i can fit in. if i had time off work i would apply for more. was a bit concerned about the covert return bit but the suggestions in the briefing notes on what you could say look ok i think.

Is it because of the time of year or does'nt grassroots have many jobs?

I think GR are one of the best MS companies that have some of the best assignments and pay is reasonable. It is a shame they don't have many jobs! :-(

It varies from job to job. You get paid per job rather than a wage and they give an estimate of how long it will take.

Best case scenario: you walk in, everything is set up, there are no problems, nothing needs doing and you walk out again.

Worst case scenario: you walk in, the promotion hasn't been set up, there is hardly any stock out, the stock inventory system is wrong and a manager rants at you about things that are out of your control.

Usually it's somewhere in the middle of the two! You need to be confident and good at speaking with people as you have to speak with various people from managers down to shop floor staff and warehouse assistants, visit an office to get POS material printed for you, visit stock control and have them check the system and correct any errors and visit the warehouse to count stock. You need to be physically fit too as you may have to pull stock forward onto the shopfloor to fill fixtures up.

Some people like it and some people don't. Probably best to give it a go and see how you feel after you've done a few jobs.

I've been given 1 ESA job too. They actually rang me up about it as it wasn't on the system. It's in an out of the way village but it's sort of on my way home next week, so not too much hassle to fit it in.

Thanks Becles,is it just a matter of taking down old posters and putting up new ones or is there more to do?
