Unless you live in very close proximety to a high street shopping centre then you are very unlikely to get any work from them except maybe as a last minute replacement.
They allocate all their work on who lives nearest to the store. I used to live virtually next door to the big mall in our town so used to do 4 or 5 visits a month for them. I have recently moved 2 miles away and now get nothing!0 -
I hope you struck a good deal. They offerred me one today for old fee plus 2, then upped it to plus 6, but it was too far out of my way for one job.
We haggled.:D
They met my personal money/mileage target so I'm away for a run in the car tomorrow. Plus I only have 5 boxes of eggs left. Need to stock up.0 -
I am still having major issues with the MP3 not showing on my account with RE for 2 assignments I did on Monday. RE have said there IT dept have confirmed its on my account and they have checked it on all their operating systems but I still cannot see the MP3. Am I missing something ? I did do a report on the new system last week and I just clicked on the MP3 link and it worked fine.0

Hello again, do I put the reimbursements on my tax return as well as fees as income? Thank you.0

No simple answer, I always report costs on assignments as legitimate business expenses.0 -
Thank you tomla, so I put the reimbursments down as an expense rather than income?0
-
Any legitimate expense can offset you taxable income so for instance:
£5 - job fee
£3 - Reimburesment
you spend £3 which is an expense so you mark £8 income but £3 as business expense - this means they will only tax you on the £5.
If anyone has an easier way to explain that would be great and of course the best way is to phone your tax office on search3.openobjects.com/kbroker/hmrc/locator/locator.jsp?type=30 -
If I went to a supermarket and had to buy certain items to a value of £5 and was then reimbursed the £5 and I kept the goods is this not classed as income?
Sorry to be a pain but I am doing my tax return online and dont want to put down as income when they are classed as expenses.0 -
