Well I did my stamp shop with the assistant that I gave the certificate to the last time. Dont think she recognised me with my hat pulled down, my dark glasses on and my scarf pulled over my face. Was waiting for the armed police to crash in and arrest me for casing the place. Now that would have been funny.

Not worth a general alert but ESA seem to be doing a town's high street again. If you're in or near Shropshire it might be worth a look.

I'm not sure it's worth an alert but I can see one hotel on RE in Tewkesbury. Reimbursement covers room, breakfast & two drinks (no evening meal but would be worth a phone call to discuss that ;)). Too far for me unfortunately :( Might be a release because it is for tomorrow-Sunday.
    SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
    SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
    SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80

Various (including London) any night (one night, up to 27/01) stay for up to 2 people; fee and reimbursement. Booking to be made Sunday-Thurs. Also, European hotels (additional reimb for flights), but you have to ring RE for these.

Thanks proshopper for that but can you go back to your post and delete the fees etc. We are not allowed to post them on here!

I phoned to register. Very simple and they sent out all of the information to me within a few days.

I would have thought that they might have redirected staff to cope with the queries from people submitting their online tax returns so that might be the delay.

I work for HMRC in the SA/PAYE dept and we are mad busy, ridiculously busy. Never seen it this busy for years.
Anyway, I myself registered in July and there was a problem with the online system at the time which meant all new registrations were going into a "black hole" so were'nt getting set up. I called them in Nov and it was all ok, got set up, got my UTR issued and no fine.

If you're concerned give the tax office a call but do it between 8-9am and 7-8pm, the quietest times, else wait till early feb.

    HTH
  • Oh dear, it's not right. I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not seeing any "alerts" today!
  • I'm actually enjoying the calm before the storm. Have a sandwich job tomorrow lunchtime and then 7 shops on Saturday and 1 one on Sunday. Quite a relaxing weekend for me as I work during the week and tend to mainly mystery shop on the weekend when I don't have to rush.
  • Any Suffolk people get any shops from Retail Maxim? Signed up with them last year but have never been offered anything.
