Any "Spies" around today???
You know where to find me :cool:0 -
Aah, I see the relevance now to having a regular poster opening up the new thread. Forgot all about having to add / amend the first pages.
Anyway, with regards to dropping out of the MS threads, seems a shame that people decide to do this. I don't post a great deal on here, but check it regularly and make the odd comment. There are other MS forums obviously, but I quite like this one, despite all the silly little arguments that go on from time to time.
End of the day, if I ever need any help or advice with MS, I can generally get an answer on here, and that is what is important to me, would be a shame if people stopped using it.
Happy Christmas everybody, nothing much on now till New Year, have a great one.

Hi all, pretty new to this so please bare with me. Needed some extra cash so thought I would give Mystery Shopping a go, read this thread (and all the others!!!!) and started signing up to a few companies, I now have 6 in my favorites that I check daily, but the good news is, although I only signed up a few days ago I have already completed 2 assignments and have another 8 booked in and I am really excited, does that make me really sad??
One question though, does everyone feel like an idiot on their first visit and did everyone forget things like 'shop to the left and right' and have to go back and get the assistants name?? Also does it get easier to remember everything?
Also, one final thing, I like this so much better than my full time job, is it really realistic to make a full time wage from this as at 6-10 fee a visit I would need to do about 38 a week to meet my current salary.
Please be nice as I am a newbie

I see no need why a firm would want my photo and some ID when I am conducting work for them
Is it to do with the rules that say they have to check you're legally entitled to work here? I've had to send copies of my passport to other companies to prove I'm allowed to work here.Scaredy_Cat wrote: »Any "Spies" around today???

I don't like it, i'm lazy, I like to read it without having to keep moving the page
this happened when tg made the new thread last time but then i think she fixed it because it was ok
random question but does anyone with a blackberry know how to save passwords for logging into websites? would be so much easier to access sites quickly! don't mind paying a small amount if it has to be done via an app
second random qu- if you accept a premium job with gap, when you go to my assignments does it still show as the normal fee or does it show the higher one? mine is showing normal fee

Yes everyone forgets things on their first visits, and yes it does get easier to remember.
You even start doing personal errands and writing down what was left and right and the name of the person who served you :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
Phew, that's better!
Although the first 2 post's will still need to be changed though, I still refer to it when I want to double check info on payment dates etc, and we all refer newbies to it so would be handy if it was more user friendly.0 -
Lol Becles, now that is something to look forward to!!! Will I also go into a bar and order 'a pint of lager/glass of wine' even though I hate both and really only wanted an apple sourz shot!!
Oh and BTW - got so over excited when accepting assignments that I took afew that were 'airside' at an airport, had to call up and plead newbie stupidity!!!!!0 -

As I only shop a few towns and centres I have started to build up a mini database of shops in them.
EG Church St
Boots
Smiths
Subway
and so on.
I do it as I am going along and it saved me a return trip the other week.
The other thing is to write this stuff down before you go in because when you come out you are remembering other stuff.0 -

I've had a look for the same thing - there are password keepers but they don't auto fill in for you. As far as I can make out, Keepass seems to be rated better than the Password Keeper and is supposed to be very secure. (Both are free).
I would also love an auto fill password app.0
