I disagree with your assessment criteria.

One of the good things about Financial Mail is their constant feedback :).

They are advising those who purchased extra shares to sell some / all @ 20p profit on Friday's closing price.

That's cash in hand that you couldn't have got from a unit trust.

And the main reason there is so little profit on Standard shares is that the market has fallen - i.e. unit trusts will have fallen between the Standard float date and now.

Financial Mail on Sunday spotted a good stag for members (because of the 5% discount), in spite of current threats to world stock markets

Talk about having your cake and eating it.

Having earlier rubbished the Standard Life IPO. suggesting investors should only purchase at under 200p, the Sunday Times carries this report:

    Sunday Times

Director deals - Big buys at Standard Life

"....Directors have in-depth knowledge of their businesses, so it can pay to track their moves."
  • Who else have recieved the compytershares rather than the requested certificate?
You have to call computer share 0870 with a long introduction at premium rate only to be cut off before taling to anyone.
BTW Yes I did send my form back in time.

And what's more, I haven't recieved any of the extra shares I bought, or the change I was expecting from the cheque that they cashed last week for extra shares.

Is this normal? Or should I be really worried that my form and money has got into the wrong hands?

    Saynoto0870.com shows the following two numbers for Computershare Invester Services;

01422 380880 and ask for Shareholder Services or 0117 3051000 for their Head Office.

make sure you dial 141 or whatever to withold your telephone number and if they ask, you are either abroad or you are barred by your telcoms provider from calling 0870 numbers.

    Good luck

I just looked on SayNoTo0870 dot com and they list three numbers for computershare. Looks like 01422 380880 might be the best bet and ask for shareholder services. Not tried it yet as rushing to go out...

    Anyone found a better one?

    Hi SMC,
We got our share certificate last week even although I only sent the paperwork back with a day to spare but I guess there are so many to be sent out they will probably be spreading it out and I just got lucky getting it so quickly.

I sent mine in very quite early but not received by certificate yet. Think they have all to be posted by today is that right?
