245 you say ? Im feeling faint
SL was never bad, they didnt cut the div they increased it. Disappointing growth maybe but not sure they ever done terrible, havent looked recently.
My interests have moved elsewhere but if I had spare cash I'd still buy on downturns
I should have bought them august, silly me I went with volatile commodities when this has steamed along. Xmas also a good low.
Target 256 I think, beyond that Im a pessimist sorry
They need to be holding 237 properly to push upwards I would guessI sold all yesterday at 2.44
240 was where I sold out my IPO hold in 2008. Should have paid more attention at 300 in hindsight. Rebought lower, then sold again as I count them a sideways stock mostly.
The profits come out as divs more then share price at least till UK job rate comes down and pensions go up, etc
They should be in Asia like PRU
My high div stocks now are mainly TEF and BNC. Both about 10% yield but Ive lost on the share price, hence SL is to be admired0 -

Got a letter the other day to say we had 301 ordinary shares off 10p
Now we got 222 shares a number of years ago, I presume when most people had their pensions taken over.
So how do I work out how much these are worth....
I have been on the share calc page and it says they are worth £668.
So is the 10p the final figure plus 10p per share giving us £698
Is that a dividend?
How do we sell if needed.
Thank you in advance0 -
10p is like a token worth. The market price is what matters so you got it right first time.
You have been given extra shares and you should have been sent dividend cheques some time recently I think ? Unless you asked them be turned into shares
They'll have a registrar who'll have your name on a list, they are quite helpful if you contact them0 -

£2.54p time for you to topple over (or sell)'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
