pauliepie wrote:Need some advice relating to standard Life....
I have an endowment with Standard Life which is a "with profits fund".
I took out the policy back in 1999.
Firstly, do I qualify for the windfall?
If so, how much should I recieve, and when should I recieve the money?
Why Hasn`t Standard Life contacted me, should I drop them a line or a telephone call?
Can I buy shares, being a policy holder or is it not wise to purchase.
Look forward to your advice soon.
Many Thanks
paul
1- Yes you will qualify
2-Shares allocation depends on the valve of your fund, but min 186
3-Have you changed address?
4- Call/write them
5-You can buy shares in the open market, but you have missed the deadline for the 5% discount.0 -

I think the new Ticker for the newly floated Standard Life Ordinary 10p Shares is to be SL.
On some Intrnet financial sites this may need to be further clarified, eg, SL.L or maybe SL.:LSE to indicate the stock is traded out of the London Stock Exchange.
BUT IT IS NOT SLET, which is the Ticker for STANDARD LIFE EQUITY INCOME TRUST Ordinary 25p Shares.

SLET seems to be used for "Standard Life Eq Inc (SLET)"
I've found a reference to SLA:

But other than that ...
