:eek:i thnik he meant the bit below this quote about what to do in a case of abusive postings.
thanks Glassact - pity they didn't mean the bit about the dog hairs - I have a labrador and vacuum up loads of dog hairs, on the stairs, Rebeccas bed, the carpets, the floors, her sofa....... It dosen't seem to equate to too many choccie bickies for me though!
Maybe I need be vacuum a bit faster?:eek::eek:DJWW - cos we won't let it!0 -
Hi
As usual have totally forgotten who had spoken to me - but hello all!
Matt makes a selection of hand thrown pots. His very outdated blog rowallanepottery.blogspot.com shows some great examples.
Am just off the phone with the lovely Shirly from Pumpkinfest - and we now have a table inside which I am extatic about! I was a little dubious about being outside - but am now very excited - going around in circles in my head about how I want to set up!
Have had a slight rethink and think the stall shall be almost all pottery - it seems more apt at a craft fair to me for some reason. I make dog biscuits so am considering seeling these as a side line perhaps? Or maybe it would be best to concerntrate on the one thing - the pottery - to start with?
The pottery items range in value from £2.50 to £80ish. I am thinking the main selling objects would be up to £15/£20 - would I be right to assume this?
Can you tell I am nervous!:rotfl:0 -
Hi Laura - Love the mugs, how much are they?
Chill and don't stress about Castleward too much, the pottery is gorgeous and speaks for itself - if some of this is Raku fired, Matt might know my friend Ann McNulty from Enniskillen who specializes in Raku along with her fab stoneware pottery. Have you booked into the Banbridge Fair on the 23rd - this one has a good crafty element and would probably work quite well for you.
We live in Lisbane which is not too far away from Saintfield - where is your tearoom? If you want a nosy, you can see my pottery on www.bakedinbelfast.com or on the facebook page

Good luck with the show at the weekend - we are at a food festival in Mountstewart Saturday and Sunday, it is food only so didn't post it here, but if you are free, pop over and say hello!DJWW - cos we won't let it!0 -
Hi
All his mugs are £10 - he has sooo many different colours etc at the moment!
Matt says he knows of Ann but has never met her before!
My tearoom is located in Rowallane Gardens - have recently taken over the franchise there!:T
I love the address for your website! It is very cool! I also havew a blog - though have only just started it rowallanegardenkitchen.blogspot.com and am also on facebook as thegardenkitchen.
I may try and get to mount stewart - as sounds like a brilliant event - what times of day is it? If not I will deffinetly come to the tearoom - I feel a need for your strawberry, mint and malibu jam! I really like your calories plate :rotfl: Do you do all of this yourself? :eek:0 -
Hi laurabell
i live beside rowallane gardens and am in their quite a bit walking the dog. Have been in the tea room many times. Is your partner the one who has a workshop in the gardens because i have saw the pottery there on display and its very nice? As smokiewater says dont stress too much about the fair. You will really enjoy meeting all the other crafters.see you on the 16th.ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)0 -
Hi everyone!
Just thought I'd come say hello! My name is Jen, and I make cards, albums, invites, hair accessories, and have started to have a go at candles and a little bit of jewellery. Far too many big ideas! lol! I also organise craft fairs in Larne, and was sent the link for your thread with the details of my fair on it. I'm all chuffed! I am also easily pleased! lol!
It's great to see so many lovely crafters supporting each other and giving advice. Hope to speak to loads of you soon!

Welcome Jen - although I already know you from FB - looking forward to actually meeting you in Larne!
Laura - Mountstewart is 10 - 5 each day - 10am on a Sunday that is cruel - though the teenage son is doing the morning for me so can't complain, my Church is 130 years old this weekend so I'll be off there on Sunday morning. I will definitely invest in a couple of mugs when I see you at a fair, have a thing about pottery mugs! Ann McNulty is great - apart from the fact that she is a mega talented potter, she is a real straight talker and always happy to offer advice to mere beginners like me, every time I am stuck about something I give her a ring and she sorts me out/calms me down/ tells me not to be so B stupid! etc etc If anyone is in Enniskillen they should call into the Buttermarket and see her!
Must stop wittering on - great to see so many newbies chatting! (instead of just looking for the dates, yep I'm off again)
Byeeeee:eek:DJWW - cos we won't let it!0 -
Hi Jen
Welcome from me too. I was born in Larne and my mum, brother and sister all live there. I must say I dont really miss it as I have been away from there for 25 years now! Although I do like my visits to the family. Good luck with your fair.ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)0 -
This is soooo quiet now, Glassact and me seem to be the only regular posters - we used to have brilliant conversations on this site, and everyone posted on Friday what they were doing at the weekend.
Glassact, your much earlier post was right, it is getting to be a big bore on this site now!!!!!
Maybe I am just having a bad day, but.......DJWW - cos we won't let it!0 -
