Glad you liked the cake Glassact - although she is 8, Shannon is very petite, and it really looked so big beside her.

ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)
  • Was chatting to a guy today who makes stained glass - there are so few of these in the North these days - he dosen't really do craft fairs so won't be joining our little melee, but will have a flick through my diary when he has gathered up some stock!!!

Poor SheeDee, you don't have to apologise for not posting, we know you are one of the crew here, and are so glad you had a great holiday - I heard from Deborah yesterday to say I had a table at St Dorotheas, so the chap who helps out in the shop will be doing that one for me - you can all keep him right with his display, I am doing a different one the same day!

I am having a weekend off, I am heading away to England on the boat tonight (lets hope the wind dies down a bit) and will hopefully bring some new pottery blanks home with me on Monday. Hope there will be lots of chat for me to catch up on when I get back.

Meantime I have 2 cakes to ice, so better get a move on!:bdaycake:

JUST READ THIS ON ANOTHER FORUM AND THOUGHT I WOULD POST IT HERE AS IT OFFERS SOUND ADVICE TO US ALL INCASE WE ENCOUNTER THIS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

    What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:

    report.gif

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people. whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT
ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)
  • Hi all!
I am new here, and this is my first post so just looking for a little bit of advice - sorry if this has been posted before!
My partner and I are attending our first craft/food fayre in the middle of this month. He is a potter and has lots of lovely hand crafted goods - and I run a tearoom so am bringing a selection of goodies - mini cupcakes for the little ones, halloween sugar cookies etc.
I would love to know if any one has any advice - how to pull in the punters! What would draw you to a particular stall etc..
    Many thanks in advance!
