Drove down the motorway this morning, the weather getting worse and worse the closer I got to Belfast, brilliant weekend though in Portrush!

Hi all the jewellery makers out there.

am having a dumb moment and am starting to doubt my sanity !!! if i am making a 16" or 18" necklace does this include the clasp in the measurements or is it the beading 16 or 18" long then the clasp. Seem to have made a few pieces recently and they have just been too long. Please someone help before i loose my sanity !!!!!!!

I would normally include the clasp in any measurement of a piece so an 18" necklace would be 18" total, including clasp (but excluding any extension chain) Hope that helps!

Yeah, it is very sad that we don't all feel comfortable with posting here anymore.

Jo on the carboot site had a similar problem with someone copying her work and posting it on their own site, it leaves a really sour taste in the mouth.

While I appreciate that this is a great tool for crafters/sellers, it is unfortunate that so many people just watch, use the dates and never contribute - we have something like 87,000 hits on the page but less than 3000 replies so there's obviously a lot of lookers out there, so please SAY HELLO!

That's my rant over for today, see you at Glenlola on the 16th - are you not doing bessbrooke at the weekend, the girls down there are a hoot!:rotfl:
