Which airline is next to collapse?

Can I say that each Monarch plane I boarded was brand spanking new. Like, winglets (when winglets were new) and clearly just out of the factory.
So if they can afford these planes, or the lease, and be granted credit then I think we can sleep safe. Also the fuel economy will be the best which means lower ongoing fuel bills. Ryanair also adopt the new place/fuel economy theory.0 -

I've never flown on a brand new Monarch plane, I know their long-haul Airbus A330s are a little 'tired' nowadays but do the job.
I read last week in their in-flight magazine that they've ordered a number of Boeing A787 Dreamliners for delivery in (I think) 2013.
I guess Paddy Power just took silly people's money on Monarch going bust and said 'Thank you very much'.0 -

Not necessarily, it is standard practice for companies to plan for the long term despite what their current financial status may be. It assures the share holders that the company is moving forward.
That said a quick google shows they made £8.5m profit in 2008.
The reality is an airline is very delicate business and airlines come and go yearly. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
Could be any of them - make sure you use a credit card for any flights costing more than £100. There are clearly some front-runners, though, but you need to talk to someone in the know. Simon Calder said the other day that it had been well known in the industry for some time that Flyglobespan had problems.
Tell me of an airline that isn't having problems.0 -

I think you've misunderstood me, Mr Lahey.
