Apologies HC . I didn't mean to rile you up, just ask questions.

I know some people don't look at options on menus...whatever site they're on.... as they're in a hurry or Newbies who are not used to looking for them. i.e. My friend got her son to order some stuff from Amazon and he was itching to get back to his game so he just pressed checkout without looking. She wasn't happy at having to pay the Next Day shipping fee instead of the free postage she could have have had.

Hope that explains my reasoning? :)

I chose 2nd class postage and the goods arrived within 3 days. Can't complain at that. If I needed them very quickly I would have just bought a very small quantity from my local pharmacy whilst I awaited my order. I got 300 hayfever tablets for £9.90 delivered (there are 4 in our family who suffer so it's not an overly excessive amount to get through plus some will be used next year). 3.3p per tablet all in seems like a bit of a billy bargain to me (the tablets with the same active ingredients even at Lidl work out at over 12p per tablet!). To illustrate the bargain another way, we are saving over £11 per month in our household as a result of using chemist-4-u. Not to be sniffed at. LOL!

I was neither in a hurry or a newbie so please less of the patronising waffle Mercenary.

    Plain and simple facts......

Goods required urgently hence First class postage option chosen and paid for at £6.52 !!!!!!!!!

Goods received four days later by Second class postage at cost of £ 1.78 !!!!!!!!

Draw your own conclusions as to whether this is ethical trading practice.... not by my standards. Also seems ebay feedback has same complaints from other disgruntled buyers.

I take it this sort of thing is what SAM is talking about with regard to abuse of her site?

  • Rather than pushing more pills for hay fever - why not try the nasal guard http://www.nasalairguard.com/? They really do stop the streams & sneezing & if you're feeling that bad you don't mind having little things up your nose! (I have no connection with the company by the way - just an enthusiastic user!)

I wasn't aware that I had said that you were ...I merely made a general observation that is undeniably true of some internet users based on personal experiences while assisting friends and family with their pc use.

Can we call a truce now?
  • Just to say tht previously i got prescription for 30 tabs -- following advice here i went to surgery and asked for 3 mths supply - when i went to pick up prescription it was for 56 tabs - 2 mths supply. I told receptionist i had asked for 3 mths she said they normally only prescribed for a max of 2 mths - i said could she ask doctor again if i could hve 3 mths supply and went home. She rang within 15 mins to say doctor had made out prescription for 3 mths supply --(84) tabs :D ie 16 weeks amount . So i've settled for that.
Wife wouldn,t let me buy them online neway -- and at my age i do as im told. :D sometimes
  • My wife has had hayfever for absolutely ages.
She was advised by a friend to use Sinomarin. This is an aerosol with purified seawater in it. It seems to do the job. Doesnt make you drowsy and is very inexpensive. I found it on the 'net'. Might be worth a try.............

I buy the loratidine 30 tablets for 1.99 from Britannia pharmacy situated in ASDA,Crossharbour London. The Bhogals chemist sell the same loratidine 30 tablets for 5.99.I'm surprised to see the large difference between the prices especially when both companies are selling the loratidinemade by the same generic company.
