Not really the right forum but as this is likely to be read by Hay Fever sufferers, anyone know a cure for that horrible itchy roof of your mouth? My tablets sort out all the other symptoms but not that one. Thanks
I find that sucking a couple of mints seems to help me.

What I would really like to know is...(Sam...are you there? ;) ) ..... will a similar Hayfever meds offer be on again for next summer 2007 from chemist-4-u ? Or shall I order some more Loratadine tabs now so that I have them in stock?
Next summer, the offers will be offered, but cannot guarantee the price, as this depends on market conditions at that time.

eg Sun Tans lotions in high factors haven't been produced in mass this year, due to poor weather last year, so we aren't able to request fantastic prices on lotions, as there isn't the stock around.

I cannot see prices getting any lower, but the price will be dependent on stock availability and wholesale prices.

Talk about guaranteeing the price! - I paid over £6 for postage because I ordered in the few hours between Sam withdrawing and reinstating the free postage on the 30-packs of hay fever tablets!

Unless they are in lead packaging, I should think it will cost no more than a couple of pounds to send (watch this space), so they are subsidising their low margins with postage 'costs'.

SAM, is there a generic equivalent of migralieve and if so will you consider stocking it, please? TIA!
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

There is only generic Migraleve Yellow, which is Co-codamol 8/500, which is a fraction of the price. Why not try the new Imigran Radis?

    CHEMIST-4-U - Proceed with caution........

I placed an urgent order on 22nd June at chemist-4-u and was charged
£ 6.52 for FIRST CLASS MAIL DELIVERY. Tablets only arrived today 26th June posted by SECOND CLASS MAIL with marked postage cost of just £ 1.78.

Apparent low checkout prices subsidised by postage charges way in excess of actual amounts and second class service when paid for first!!!!!!!

A mail has been sent to Mr.Patel querying this policy and will update if/when a reply/refund is forthcoming.......

Suspected as much. Oh well, even if they are borderline scammers it will still be much cheaper than even Tesco's own brand.

Still, it leaves a nasty taste in the mouth, and I'm not sure I will order again on principle.

Oh come on.... are you being fair? Did you actually select your optimum postage rate from the drop-down menu? or just clicked on the default without looking?

...If you had read the original post you'd see that Martin has checked this site out as kosher
Just for info I have checked and this chemist is registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Britain's website (http://www.rpsgb.org.uk/).
and most other people are happy with service, so is it necessary to name-call? :naughty:

    Matter of opinion, Mercenary.

If I suspect that, in my opinion, they may be borderline scammers I am quite entitled to say so politely. Maybe that's a little harsh, but it is somewhat unethical, even in the competitive business world, to slash product prices by loading postage.

And yes, I am well aware that they are registered with the RPS, as of course I read Martin's original post in full. Why would you suggest that I hadn't?

I certainly did choose the optimum postage from the drop-down menu. Again, why would you assume that I hadn't?

'Most' people may indeed be very happy with their service (although how can you possibly assert this as fact?). I hope I will be too. As I have already said, even with the loaded postage, it will still be cheaper than Tesco. However it will be interesting to see just how much of the 'postage & packaging' cost is spent on the postage...

I am perfectly entitled to express a rational, politely expressed opinion without someone jumping to conclusions and making assumptions about me. So waggy finger to you too.
