Because ebay revenue should be higher than listed above (it should be at least 10% of the transaction value plus listing fee, perhaps in some cases, like purchasing in ebay shops it is lower, but these were not transactions in ebay shops).
Also, it is not "shops" that make a difference, it is business and non business sellers, auction and buy it now.
I don't know if ebay take into account if the user is a powerseller/ top rated when calculating the discount as well.... it's possible. That could knock off upto 40% if they do.
Some of your transactions don't look right though admittedly.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

I've now put a claim in to topcashback so hopefully it is just a genuine mistake and not systematic misleading.
As for those posters that think it is 'free' money and that people shouldn't complain all I can say is I was expecting roughly 5% of price back and this sways my decision as to where I purchase (no doubt as intended) so of course I complain.0 -

But the sites do clearly say that the cashback is not 100% gantureed and you shouldn't buy stuff just to get the cashback. I use cashback websites if I am going to buy stuff anywhere and if its a few pence cheaper somewhere that doesn't offer cashback I will take the cheaper price incase I don't get the cashback. When you start basing your purchases on cashback especially when you bank on the cashback being more than the purchase price of something then thats when you put yourself up for a fall.0 -
If your not happy with them Don't use them. If you think your being conned and you continue to use them all your doing is accepting what they are doing is OK.
Strange attitude. If we did not complain about dishonest services, then eventually there would be no place to go. In fact there is no such place now. I do not know where to go from Topcashback (which cashback site has equally good or better offer and do not cheat?).0 -

Have a look at the tables I inserted now in the message #14.0 -

But when they say 60% then you assume that they are honest and will give you 60%, and not 40%, 3% or 0% as happened in our case. It is all about honesty and trust. There should be no excuse regarding that. We have dozens of tracks, and none is the promised 60%, so it is hard to accept it, and it is hard not to say that someone is cheating.
I do not understand why some people are trying (in some indirect ways perhaps) to accept or even defend such cheats.0 -
Please note: This is a percentage of eBay's revenue from the listing, not a percentage of the final price which is paid.
So how do you know what eBay's revenue is?

Please note: This is a percentage of eBay's revenue from the listing, not a percentage of the final price which is paid.
So how do you know what eBay's revenue is?
Topcashback is displaying both eBay's revenue from which they calculate the cashback and the final price which was paid, so there is no confusion about that (have a look at the tables).
The question is what is eBay's revenue for the purpose of cashback? Because apparently it is not entire revenue eBay is getting from seller. Another question is why they pay 0%, 3% or 40%, and not the advertised 60%.
I think that you sent your post before reading first the entire thread, hence your questions.0 -

Well, then perhaps there is something wrong with your common sense, because according to both Quidco and TCB representatives it is listing fee (whatever that means), not Final Value Fee as your common sense tells you. Ask them yourself if you don't believe me.
Actually it is not a problem with your common sense, but with the offer and the way they describe it (imprecisely and generally as revenue).
I thought when they say revenue, that they meant all revenue (Insertion Fees, Gallery Fees, Buy it Now Fees, and Final Value Fees) - that's what my common sense told me, but it is not the case, and it is not percentage of Final Value Fee, according to Quidco and TCB.
I feel misled. When they say "eBay revenue" one automatically thinks of all eBay revenue and not just listing fees. You yourself thought it was FVF, and it is not the case. You were grossly misled as well.
It is not fair that they do not inform precisely on their web page that the percentage is calculated not of entire eBay revenue, but only a small portion of it, probably of Insertion fees, and pehaps some other listing fees. I do not understand why FVF is not included.0
