    Hello

    Just saw this offer.

Went and found a sim card that a got from a free virgin sim offer. I used the mobile number to sign up, and have put the sim in my phone so that it registers with the network.

Signed up fine, can login fine but then when i add the phone it wont deduct the £10?

[Note: I haven't typed in my name there, its automatically filled it in because im logged in]

    What am i doing wrong?

    Cheers,

    Matt
  • dude i had the same problem. do this, on the right hand side it will say 'Upgrading your phone' click on that and it will take you to a page about rewards, scroll to the bottom and click 'Reward yourself'. On the next page scroll down a bit and click on 'Buy a phone only' now go and find the phone you want and it should have the £10 taken off. well this worked for me anyway. hope this helps

    Thanks very much

Much to my dissapointment though, once i got there:

    PRICE
    £7.49
    OUT OF STOCK

How can that be the case? I think they are trying to stop people buying it for £7.49

  • yeh i just looked a few minutes ago and i couldn't beleive that they were sold out coz a couple of hours before that i bought one

Just tried to order a Nokia 1101 through quidco to get the £8 cashback but Virgin site kept coming up with "Sorry theres a problem with the site please ring ***** to order this product".

Makes me wonder if they have stopped you getting cashback through Quidco for this phone. Anyone else tried to order one recently?

I'm sure you want to stick with Virgin, but easymobile have the Nokia 1101 phone for £30 including £30 of credit...

UPDATED - PLUS easymobile have validated two EARLIER SIM CARD purchases (via Quico) with £8 each time....BUT IT IS £15 FOR THE PAYG PHONES!

    https://www.easymobile.com/

...and the phone is in stock.

...plus the £30 is a voucher that can be added to any easymobile sim.

    Hope this is of interest?

isn't the student virgin mobile offer better than the normal website one, now the recon phone is out of stock?

    normal site: £14.99-£10 credit-£8 quidco = £3 in profit
    student site: £22.49-£25 credit-£8 quidco = £10.51 in profit

in both cases you get a spare sim card too...

Did you not get £15 from Quidco? Perhaps you'll get an additional £7 added for each purchase at some point.
