  • if you do retaliate physically then you can bet your life you'd end up the worse off by getting booked for it!!

If your really bothered about the injustice, be a traffic cop and have great pleasure in stopping all the rat- racers driving round, including all those you've kept a note of for cutting you up and nearly causing an accident. :rotfl:

Sorry, that was rash of me.

Of course criminal damage is acceptable. Ever thought what might happen if you couldn't run away in time and your victim came after you?
    Can I help?

Well i drive an Evo but have only got back from a long break yesterday and havent drove so i know it wasnt me that cut you up.

Firstly driving into the back of him would have been such a sensible thing to do!! You stopped and nothing came of it, no big deal at the end of the day. Life goes on.

ALl this talk of "road rage" got me thinking of a short story I read years ago. I dug it out last night and it still reads well.
"Along the Scenic Route" by Harlan Ellison may now be downloaded as an eBook from places such as Fictionwise. It shows a future where "duels" on the road are legalised and cars ust be fitted with the latest weapons to survive.
    Can I help?

you know what the sad thing is? you probably have encountered this. that evo plonker continued to weave in and out of traffic ahead of me, accelerating and braking hard where required. the funny and sad part is after 20 minutes he was still in view on a busy road with traffic lights. if he drove sensibly he would be roughly at the same place.

why do plonkers drive recklessly on a very busy road?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

you know something, if next time someone does the same manouvere to me i will lightly tap the back of his car and will let my car roll back a bit and act innocent as if nothing happened. i drive an old car with battle scars thanks to supermarket etc and will see how he can prove i had hit him

    :-)

    just kidding he says

    please note -

    1. i advise you not take any illegal action against anyone on the road.

    2. advise you against throwing eggs on a car on a hot day - this can make it hard to remove the egg from the paintwork. ;-)

    3. biggest disadvantage of carrying eggs especially if they are rotten is what happens if they break in your car. what a messy clean up operation that is going to be

    4. do not use brake fluid. you can get done for criminal damage. and no do not carry a brake fluid bottle inside the car or rig your headlamp washers so that they spray forward towards the car in front with brake fluid. naughty idea that

    5. what you can do is if it is safe to do so get out of the car, take your mobile, take a picture of the driver and the car. do not say anything. let him sweat it out thinking you may report him to the police.

or y not just stay in your car, i would never get out of my car just because someone cut me up - thats life! people barge into you and push in ques but we dont all start brawling about it. a pic on a mobile phn proves nothing except the car was on the road. people like that get caught out in the end, y risk your own life trying to shop them to police???
And all the while ur flapping and getting angry because someone drives like a plonker, ur actually loosing concentration on the road. chill!

If I'm being tailgated, I sometimes choose this moment to clean my windshield.

This certainly blew the gasket of some idiot last week in France as his spanking new BMW was no longer showroom-clean.

    Oops.... :)
In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?
