tempted to drive into car in front to teach him a lesson

Presumably then it would be OK for me to carry a knife in my car as long as it's only to scratch the paintwork of the car that cut me up?
Seriously, I've been involved in a road rage incident and it's pretty damn scary how quickly things can escalate. Does the other driver know that the container in your hand is going on his car or him? How do you know he's not going to defend himself with the clawhammer in his glovebox that's there to exact revenge on people that annoy him? Some people are idiots, it's a fact of life. You're not going to change their behaviour, so why get so wound up about it yourself?
As a general point rather than singling you out specifically, do those who believe it's acceptable to retaliate to bad driving also go around yelling at or attacking people who stop suddenly in the street, or walk in front of them?0 -
If an other motorists actions had have caused an accident, then it's upto the law to deal with them, not YOU.
I'd rather the law dealt with them _before_ they caused an accident myself. Unfortunately since speed cameras became the only kind of traffic policing and the actual, real police were removed from the roads, that doesn't happen anymore: hence the moron driving three feet behind me on the M4 at 70mph while talking on their cell-phone at the weekend with absolutely zero chance of being stopped, while someone driving past the Swindon mobile speed camera at 79mph would get fined.
As far as I can see, driving standards have dropped dramatically since 'speed kills' became the new mantra. Personally I've been thinking of getting a TOW fitted, but unfortunately I think the minimum effective range is about 400 meters so it's not much good for tailgaters.
Still, maybe you could call the police and tell them the car was speeding with no tax disk, they'd send out a dozen police cars to chase him down in the hope of getting a fine out of it.As a general point rather than singling you out specifically, do those who believe it's acceptable to retaliate to bad driving also go around yelling at or attacking people who stop suddenly in the street, or walk in front of them?
The kind of people who'll cut you up or try to force you off the road in order to barge in front (and gain a whole half second or so) when they have to merge are probably the same kind of people who pick fights when they go out to a club or pub on a Saturday night...0 -
The only way to cope with modern driving is to realise how hilarious it is that some people are still living/past their tests/manage to get from A to B at all...
If you get mad/angered/raged at other peoples driving that makes you worse than them. They are guilty of poor driving/bad moves (etc) but you are now guilty of not concentrating on your own driving and even worse decisions where you are thinking about causing an accident on purpose. This being different from them who might cause an accident because they are poor drivers... you are making a choice to be a poor driver and act in a similar way..0 -
heres my theory, when the twit gets home and finds his paint bubbling,he MAY think he has done something to !!!!!! someone off. he gets his car fixed, at his expense,a week later it happens again, and again......... he MAY stop and think, just MAYBE, that someone is getting there own back. MAYBE he will think next time. i say maybe because his IQ is very likely to be less than his 0-60 time.0

A_Doonhamer wrote:What is a little worrying is the fact you were thinking of stopping this guy and leaving your young child alone in the car whilst you put yourself in harms way simply coz he was a numpty driver. Bad enough to endanger yourself in this way but to leave your child unattended at the same time isnt the move of a smart man.

Errr, so what's the worst that could happen, that couldn't happen anyway if he remained in his car? He would take the car out of gear, engage handbrake, turn off engine and remove keys, then walk 5 metres in front of his carto chat with the Evo driver.0 -
OP,
In these cases, you would need independant witnesses, if you had those, you would be ok and it would be the Evo drivers fault.
If you had no witnesses it's your word against his, and he would lie, so the only thing to back up your story is the length or lack of skid marks, which isn't great evidence, or if you're lucky CCTV.0 -
david29dpo wrote:i keep brake fluid in a fairy liquid bottle to squirt a twits like this in the car. get your your own back in safety!!
I always dream of having a few eggs (possibly rotten) with which I throw at their car or windscreen, their wipers would spread it all over the screen and they'd have to stop and clean it.

Example:-
Running into cars like some demented vigilante?
Suggesting / inciting others into acts of criminal damage such as squirting brakefluid at people / property?
Do you not grasp or understand that the same laws applicable to the offline environment also apply online?
Of course it's also suggestions like this, which when / if ever carried out result in the rest of us paying ££ in huge increased premiums for your own mindless stupidity. So next time your motor insurance goes up by £100 for no reason, you now have a good demonstration of why this happens.
Okay so you got cut up, big deal, if this is all you have to worry about in life than you are one LUCKY individual.
If an other motorists actions had have caused an accident, then it's upto the law to deal with them, not YOU.
IMO, comments like this are akin to roadrage and since you seem to have fleeting thoughts about randomly ramming into other motorists just to make a point then you perhaps shouldn't be on the road either with that attitude!.
What if you had have run into the back of this other car and caused an accident or multiple pile up and somebody had been maimed or killed, would you feel so smug then????
I think most people are probably joking (although do have these thoughts!), I am cracking up reading all these suggestions! If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

Or how about reading the road ahead, keeping a close eye on bad drivers and adjusting your speed position accordingly?
