Morning from a very cold classroom. This is just a small "update" post(and to show Ann I can post without being threatened:rotfl:.
Well, things haven't gone exactly to plan here.
Ann had quite a nasty(and bizzare) accident on "ticket morning". This caused lots of problems (to put it very mildly) with her refusing to let me call an ambulance or to even go ot hospital till she had got her tickets
It all got a bit heated although I do know how much it meant to her. Finally got her to hospital (think even Ann was a bit shocked at the ammount of blood in the kitchen/living room)
I didn't do too badly got tickets for 6(Liverpool; Portsmouth; Ipswich; Bournmouth;Birmingham and Manchester)
Given everything I think its not bad
So sadly still no laptop as by the time I get back to Manchester they are closed and are only open Mon-Fri. But brace yourselves for next Monday:rotfl::rotfl:
Ann is very flat as her op has had to be put back given this new setback so its looking like March. She is also of the opinion that she will be going shopping next week:eek::eek:Don't think so although she is recovering well(we have now progressed to going to see the nurse rather than her comming to see her!)
I know she misses everyone on here and has been talking about loads of you by name.
I hope everyone is well and ready for a week on Friday(the event that dare not speak its name in our house)
Please take care and stay safe.
I hope everyone is well and happy.
I have various names in my head but as I don't have any of the lists I have been given so won't risk it on any large scale:o other than to say hi to Jayne, Pink and Tired Mum (I know I be in trouble by my woeful and weedy list_sorry)
She will be ringing those of you who have been rash enough to let her have your phone number:eek: You have been warned:rotfl:
Essex Girl Thank you for your very kind comments. I hope you gotyour garrage sorted out.
Right off to get ready for the Y9 group and the "but we don't have to work this week, can't we watch a DVD? " Followed by
"thats what we do in (insert any subject:rotfl:)sir" No. End of.(And I wonder whay I get no Christmas cards:rotfl::rotfl:)
Have a good day.

I want to know how you get a half naked fireman on your birthday. Is it too late to get this fixed for Monday?
PurpleIvy
PS. just to say that if he could leave it until Mr Ivy has left Ivy Mansions by 6.45am latest, that would be best I think. Kids will be around, so he'll have to get his cherry picker and access through our window on the second floor. That will give the neighbours something to talk about, though he can keep his coat on for that if it's cold, then do the half naked thing once he's inside. Will he need breakfast or will he bring mine with him? I prefer tea to coffee, other than that he can decide on the menu himself. Morning everyone.
Busy morning so far. Health Visitor came to see DS and see how he was getting on. She's really pleased with his progress and thinks he's come on leaps and bounds since we last met in August :T DS was lying in bed this morning telling his daddy that Santa was wrapping up a Hulk Transformer (something he was manhandling in Sainsbury's the weekend) so guess where I am trotting off to this afternoon :rotfl:
I am giving chilli another go and it's in the SC. I normally add lentils to it (as I don't like kidney beans) but I've left these out completely as I think they might also be the reason why I don't quite like chilli. I mean it smells lovely to me but taste doesn't match what I sniff.........anyway if I still can't get to grips with it then I shan't bother making it again.
Did 90% of the present wrapping last night - started at 8pm and took me til 10.30  So am knackered today.
Bought some Spatone iron stuff that a couple of you lovely ladies recommended so will have to see if energy levels improve over the next month after taking it.
I've just scoffed 3 delicious brownies made by a friend for us as a Christmas pressie. Now I've never really been "into" brownies but I can honestly say these are just lush......and she added a cadbury's caramel bar to the mix too so I am going to have to try and pace myself
Diva - I think toothache is one of the worst pains you can have. Go see a dentist sooner rather than later x Sorry Tris isn't doing so well xx
Heavenleigh - Happy BirthdayHope you have a lovely day.
Tru - Happy Anniversary to you and Mr Tru
Molly - sorry you are worrying. Hugs to you xxx
And last but not least Lowesy - CONGRATULATIONSLike the others I got the idea that you might be pregnant from your last post but since you were adamant you hadn't ovulated I didn't like to say. I am really chuffed for you. Get taking those folic acid tablets! (I've love more kids but given it would put the kybosh on childminding and we've only a 3 bed roomed house etc etc so I have to live vicariously through other peoples pregnancies :rotfl: Gosh that makes me sound a bit stalkerish
)
No snow or thick frost here. Just cloud and rainBah humbug where's the snow?
Have a good day OS or not. Hugs for those that need them.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Lowsey
Fabulous news!! I've been quite down for the past couple of days and your lovely news has put a big smile on my face.
Well I went shopping and came in on budget so was pleased :money: The turkey & gammon are now residing in the freezer along with the roast potatoes, parsnips and blanched carrots. Mum & Dad are doing the stuffing for me and pigs in blankets so I'll only have the starters and sprouts to do on Christmas eve :j I have been reading the preparing for Christmas threads with great interest as it's the first Christmas lunch I've cooked on my own. We usually go to Mum & Dad's but they're coming here this year as they're not up to standing for hours getting everything ready anymore. I'm looking forward to it now.
Last few pressies to buy tomorrow - still don't know what to get my parents or MIL - then I can say that Christmas is sorted
I threw a spicy lentil soup together while I was unpacking the shopping so am going off to eat that now. It's certainly the weather for it & apparently there's snow on its way up here! I shall have to watch the lunchtime weather forecast and see for sure.
Hope that everyone is having a good day x0 -
Must be the day for hearing about babies, just after I posted earlier our neighbour popped round, she is having a carpet fitted and had to go get some carpet grippers, because the fitters had forgotten to bring any, can you believe
so I stayed until she came back.
Then she told me she is pregnant, :T they are both thrilled to bits, so looks like my knitting pins and crochet hook will be working overtime...I just love doing baby thingsgot millions of patterns to choose from
Lunch - change of mind poached eggs on toast instead of soup,
I really must have a cook up for the freezer, run out of spag bol, shepherds pie, and SC beef stew (need that this weather)
O that reminds me I keep meaning to go look on Amazon to see if the Economy Gastronomy (sp)? is a reasonable price yet, or maybe a second hand onewill go look now
