No drinks tonight, stupid work tomorrow. But I'm celebrating tomorrow night, on my yes
It's a bit hard to describe, but it's an optical lab thingy (I'm the manager in an, um, optical lab!). Paid for by work mwahahahha I'm doing this course anyway. You can even download my syllabus :rotfl:DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Oh my gosh. Last night's celebrations were monumental. Spent £20, but as it's the first time I've properly been out for a while I'm ok with that!
Also, I'm getting a bonus from work for my exam results, whappah! Sometimes I think I've got the best job in the best place ever. Those times are usually when they're giving me extra money :rotfl:
Going shopping today. The sunday after payday is a notoriously spendy day for me, but I'm going to reign it in. I am gonna have to find a new bag though, because mine is intolerable. The feel of it really makes me squirm (and not in a good way!)DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Wow congrats hun!
Sorry I missed out on most of the news!!!
So now you've passed do you get a pay-rise as well as a bonus for the results?
Good luck on the bag huntWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Nope, no payrise. I only had one two weeks ago, so I can't complain too much :rotfl: Plus they have to pay for the second year of the course now!
Had a brilliant, not-remotely-money-saving day
I've been banging on about getting my haircut for ages now, and purpleprincess spurred me into action last night! I found a local salon on the net, and their website said they offered 50% off for a first time visit. So I rang them this morning and booked my appointment. When I got there this afternoon they said the website was no longer maintained and the offer had finished. I didn't mind too much and had it done anyway. Then when I came to pay (after free drinks and chocs!) the receptionist said she's spoken to the owner and I could have the 50% off! Well pleased. I looooooooove my new hair. Was a bit scary seeing 12 inches of hair lying on the salon floor though! It's all shortish and funky now though, I love it!
Then I went to Superdrug and bought lots of new hair stuffI did have my 10% off coupon from the shopping board though!
All in all, it only came to around £30 so I'm still pleased! :j Plus, I've actually saved money. I was going to get some hairdye and go dark or something, but now my hair's cut it looks a different colour and I'm gonna keep itFirst time I've had totally natural colour since I was about 14!

Also, I've now deposted £10 back into both the gambly accounts I opened with Quidco just as a precaution to try and make sure I do get my cashback! Gonna leave it there til I do, then withdraw it again. Not gonna push my luck!DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Well done, you deserve a treat. If it's all the same with you I'll keep buying the dye cos this is my natural colour now......
very gilrlie thing about hair cuts, although SS also gets a bit over excited.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hmmmm. All debt payments for the month made, sig updated. Paid a bit of a rubbish amount this month actually, feel a bit guilty. I got rid of a debt last month, so effectively I had £50 extra this month. At the minute, this £50 is in my savings account, with my £100 from payday. Making my savings a grand total of £150 :rotfl: Only cos I used them last month to pay the debt off tho! My plan for this month was to keep the money in my savings til I had enough to pay off my lowest debt and to keep repeating this. I don't think it's going to happen this month, I'm going to have to use at least some of the £150. Rubbish. I've spotted the warning signs early though, so maybe that can be my target for the month, to leave that £150 untouched. We'll see! Sunday and monday are always my problem days, as I'm off work. Rubbish! Here goes, anyway *takes deep breath*
Payday here we come... :rotfl:
Edit: actually, after consulting my spreadsheetsI've noticed that I've actually only paid out £10 less than every month this year apart from last month. Is it a coincidence that the month I join MSE I pay an extra £150 off? Er, no! Yay MSE!!! How weird is that? Feel quite bouncy now. I know I should be paying more off, I know I can be paying more off, I know I will be paying more off. Power to the people! Whappah!
