No they couldn't, because it was being driven with insurance, and when it became parked it is parked without insurance. The law on seizing only applies to cars being driven or cars that have failed to stop within the previous 24hrs.
Oh right. Its still illegal though as its on the road without insurance, just they can't seize it, right?

im with morethan fully comp. and it does state to drive another car it must be insured in its own right.

Whereabouts do you see that? It isn't on the morethan certificate, nor is it contained anywhere in the policy.

This is all it says on the morethan certificate regarding driving other cars:
The policyholder may also drive, with the owner's permission, a motor car not belonging to, or hired or leased to them or their partner.

Provided that the person driving holds a licence to drive such a vehicle or has held and is not disqualified from holding or obtaining such a licence.

Have you lot ever thought that insurance companies give differently worded certificates to different people?

They tend to have the same wording on their certificates, in addition a Certificate of Insurance is a legal document that has to conform to the Road Traffic Act. I have never seen an actual certificate that states the other vehicle must have it's own insurance, the few companies that have this restriction include it in the policy wording
