Zippy - One of guests was a teacher who comes to see DS (as he's under the care of Special Needs at mo) poor woman sits on the floor with DS and it's laminate so I couldn't really not supply a little warmth LOL!
As for your cabbage - not sure what sort you have but the only time I've eaten cabbage and liked it (and was pregnant at the time which might have made a difference) was sauteed savoy - have no idea how you make it though

Evening all,
I'm feeling slightly more alive now!
Been busy since I've been home, WM has just finished 2nd load, I'm washing all the stuff that's coming on holidays with me, plus some towels and bedding. I've just made pizza for tea, HM.
Have a good evening

Evening everyone
Forget how many days since I posted but had a hectic weekend and yesterday and today were our busy wage days at work. Managed to leave at 6 though today, so that was good news.
Swiss roll tin, hmmmm I used to make swiss rolls all the time when the kids were small, haven't made one for years, got a tin. Then......the bottom of my wally trolly went saggy, too many library books, and guess what, the swiss roll tin is just the right size :rotfl:
OH is out tonight, prob won't be back till Friday, just pasta and sauce for me for tea. I have to get crafty again this evening, started something before I went to work and really hated leaving it, got home and don't like it so back to the drawing board.
Have a good evening xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Evening all :hello:
Chez Morwenna: the decs are up! Huzzah and hurrah!
Today I have made lemon drizzle cake, chicken casserole and butternut squash soup. Which isn't a lot admittedly, but I have been multi shirking
SIL2B came around, really nice to see her, we were planning who cooks what for Xmas day. We are going to MIL2B's house, but we are doing the cooking between ourselves as she is to be spoiled on the day. (Biggest house for the family though.) We are hoping to come up with many none taxing "busy tasks..."
H2B has come home with a mallard and four teal given by a friend who is in a shooting club... He says he will pluck & do the necessary.
So in a Hugh Fearnley Whatsit type moment, what to cook - a terrine??
Hugs for all that want them Lame wolf and Pipkin spring to mind.. RR sorry about your Dad but glad that the house news is positive. Diva, I trust Tristan is doing okay?
Inspirational recipes from everyone else please!0 -
