Still freezing and I ended up having to put heating on for my visitors :o I and the kids can make do but I'd hate my guests to be cold.

It is free and it's quite sweet to see Santa "talking" to DS!

DD is asleep and will have to be nudged in order to get to nursery (which is a shame).
Just scoffed some HM leek and potato soup done in SC. Should have enough to last the rest of the week.
got a potential new client coming sometime Friday morning eek! Better try and keep the house reasonably tidy. It shouldn't look like a show home as it's supposed to be welcoming to kids (who wants to play in a pristine perfect house) but I do need to keep on top of the dusting and vac'ing.
Right off to put WM on with my bathroom towels. No doubt these will take an age to dry

Oh gosh I am ever so slightly hungover today! It was my work's Christmas Do last night and we had a bottle of red and white on the table. I was only one drinking white so I had a cheap night! I was still drunk this morning I reckon :rotfl:I was in work though at 9am. Had to walk in as I definatley wasn't fit to drive. I had warned my young people that I may be a tad wobbly today so they are being really good for me. They brought me toast when they went out on their break and have just offered to go get me lunch too.

My electrics were off in the kitchen this morning so I had to flip the fuse switch. No ideas how long they were off for though so not sure if the stuff in my freezer will be ok. I'm veggie so there's no meat/fish, it still felt cold so hopefully I won't have to chuck stuff out.

Tonight I must pack my suitcase - 2 days to go til New Zealand! - and print my tickets etc out. I think I'll need a nap first though as soon as I get home.

    Have a good day all

Hello everyone, bit lethargic today, keep doing a bit more though.

Been raining again, but clear at the mo.

I had gluten free pancakes for breakfast, ratatouille with goats cheese for lunch, plus another pancake (Oh! all right, lebkuchen as well!). Makes a change, I seem to have been living off jam sandwiches and cornflakes recently.

vacced behind the sofa yesterday. Residue of dd's friends being round, broken maltesers and half a party ring. I can't move the sofa on my own so it doesn't get moved very often.

Must remember to get ds from school later. Was expecting a parcel but it hasn't arrived yet. A big batch of sewing. Sooner it gets done the sooner I get paid LOL!

Nothing much to report, is there?

    Afternoon all.

Pipkin please can I join you in the achey corner? I've just done a whole lot of washing by hand, as my WM's poorly sick, and my poor paws are feeling the effect!

Actually, that's three things gone wrong this week; a few days ago my electric toothbrush died; yesterday we found that the WM has developed a leak (WM Doctor is coming tomorrow; Mr LW has blagged a day w*rking from home, so as to be here), and last night Mr LW's printer had a hissy fit. Luckily I was able to fix that.

I have no clue what's for dins tonight.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

    Afternoon,

    Been busy so far....

My turn to help at pre-sch today, but it was great fun as it was nativity play at the church :T. Couldn;t resist posting a pic of DD2 as a sheep :D:D. All the kids were fab :T.

Chicken is in SC will have cauly cheese and mash too :drool:.

I'm sure Tilly dog is coming into season, she keeps pinching DD's teddies

I've finally dried my oranges and have arranged outside and on tree.

Hope you've all had a great day xx

    Hi everyone,

BB your DD looks very cute.

I am feeling a lot better for the treatmetn I am on and instead of collapsing and falling asleep as soon as I got home from work yesterday I batch cooked some spag bol and cottage pie.

We hope to get the tree and decs up tonight. We bought the tree on Saturday but I decided to wait until the cleaners had been today before putting it up.

I also want to make and freeze the cranberry sauce.

DD is now in Hiroshima, she spent last nights with some monks in a freezing temple - rather her than me.

Ruby I meant to say well done on getting the house through.

    Bargainbird, she's so cute :A:D

LameWolf and Pipkin - Sorry you are suffering today (((HUGS)))

snoozer - So glad the treatment is helping! It's horrid to feel half-asleep all the time. Our son has brough the tree and decs down from the loft (the decs finally made it down the loft ladder last night ) but we haven't got around to doing anything about putting it up yet! I still have just two more cards to write for posting - just can't face doing any more today as the last two both need a liitle note written inside them, so they must wait until tomorrow - at least that'll still be in time for them to go by 2nd class post.

csarina - Oh dear, it's awful when you get a parcel from someone you weren't expecting anything from - a card is bad enough! Hope you and DH are keepng cosy in such dank weather. It's sunny here today, thought the sun's going down now. Soon be the Solstice, then we can look forward to the days getting longer again.

Hi all, been reading from a distance but not caught up totally

redruby - sorry there is some bad news regarding your Dad, i really hope it is nothing serious

MSD - hope you had a nice birthday! x

I just seem to not stop at the minute. Weekend was busy enough. Tonight I am taking the stuff to the womens refuge so it will be good to get another job ticked off the list.

Making more sliced orange decs for the tree as gave most of them away!

Making a Viccy sponge to bring into work tomorrow - we are having a mini party so i did a collection and went and got the stuff in tesco today. Very hard to try please everyone - no doubt there will be complaints of " why is there no this, why did you not get diet coke " etc

I threw some bacon ribs in the SC this morning with a splash of water. Going to glaze them with some sort of honey thing tonight. Brother is coming down, so got spuds to make mash and I bought cabbage but don't know how I would cook it to accompany ribs. Im not really a cabbage eater (looked through the cabbage thread already!) and this is my first time cooking ribs.

    Anyone any ideas?

Also the drum kit in my living room is going tonight so i can get the back part cleared and sorted. One more thing off the list.

I'm shattered, so will be good to get the refuge stuff done, dinner cooked and dishes done, and just sit still and catch up on some american sitcoms.

Bitsy, i hate putting the heating on for visitors. I always have a hot water bottle glued to me, but you're right - you can't throw guests a blanket and HWB and tell them to cosy up. Well you can, but it depends how well you know them !
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
