Just got a version of your cobbler in the oven. Haven't a clue how it'll turn out. I forgot about the cups, measured 4oz flour on the scales, started to add 4oz Splenda (wanting to use it up) and then thought 'Heck no, the volume'll be different.' So I gave up completely on measuring the milk and just poured it in till it formed a fairly thick batter. We'll see - I bunged a tin of raspberries on the top and am now waiting. If it's a disaster it's not the end of the world.
I only like mild curry too. I tend to stick in tinned fruit, cashew nuts and creamed coconut to make it nice and creamy. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. Well the cobbler turned out very well and DH (who insists he doesn't like desserts) is on seconds, with Nestle tinned cream. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. I was watching a cooking programme on TV on sunday morning and the chef was making cobbler exactly the same way as I do. I shouted out "cobbler" and made everyone jump.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Thanks BS. After browsing last night I went home and baked for the first time in ages. Kids will think it's their birthdays:) The brownies have gone down a storm and I also ventured into making Chocolate and beetroot muffins. The first batch weren't too good
I forgot the sugar LOL second batch were much better. Now I've got enough for at least two weeks providing I can keep the kids out of the kitchen

Its not my kids who eat all the muffins, its my OH! He thinks they are truly scrupmtious so I dont bake now, coz he devours the lot within 24hrs and leaves none for me!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

We usually get the Nestle sterilised cream in tins - the one we used yesterday was called 'extra thick cream' in the tinned dessert aisle. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal.
